All direct care staff at our facility are certified and/or licensed for their specific skill set, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).

Safety and Well-being Measures

To ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, measures are tailored to each individual's needs, including bed alarms, wheelchair alarms, or belts. Residents are checked every 2 hours around the clock, and any health concerns are promptly addressed by a nurse with 24/7 access to a doctor. Our activity department plays a crucial role in encouraging residents to participate in community life, contributing to their overall contentment.

Transition Resources and Support Services

Given that our resident base is predominantly aged 80 and above, with most staying for the duration of their days, it is rare to discharge a resident to another facility or back into the community.

Transportation Services

We do not offer in-house transportation services but collaborate with Shurmed transport for residents needing to attend doctor appointments outside the facility, which is not a common occurrence.

Dining Experience

Residents are encouraged to eat meals in the dining room, where they are assigned tables based on their level of care and potential for community involvement, ensuring good table companionship.

Addressing Resident Complaints

Resident complaints can be made in writing or verbally, with nurses, social workers, and social services available at all times to address and resolve issues. Additionally, the sisters of St. Francis frequently check in on residents, offering another layer of support and approachability.

Cost of Living

The cost of living in our community is $145.00 per day for a shared, semi-private room, and $200 per day for a private room.

Communication with Residents' Families

Families are kept informed through phone, email, and personal care plan visits, with updates on changes in medication/condition, monthly activity calendars, and other relevant news.

Short-term or Respite Stays

St. Francis does not offer respite care.

Pet-Friendly Community

We are a pet-friendly community, welcoming pets for visits and hosting a "facility pet," an extremely well-behaved dog that accompanies the administrator.

Vaccination Services

The pharmacy schedules and provides necessary vaccines, including COVID, FLU, RSV, etc., as needed.

Aging in Place

Residents are able to stay at St. Francis for the duration of their days, with palliative care options available for comfort care in lieu of extreme life-prolonging measures.
