Pets are welcomed at Renton House Village. The community is pet-friendly, with a house cat living on the second floor and provisions for residents to have their own cats or dogs, provided they can care for their pets themselves.

The facility provides transportation for its residents, including a wheelchair-accessible bus and a regular van for appointments and outings.

Staffing

The staff at Renton House Village includes licensed practical nurses (LPNs), medication technicians (med techs), and personal care assistants (PCAs), some of whom are certified nursing assistants (CNAs). The community ensures that an LPN or a med tech is always on duty, with care managers available on each of the three floors, including the memory care unit.

Safety Measures

For resident safety, pendants are provided to all residents. Additionally, the memory care unit is equipped with WanderGuard technology and secured doors to prevent elopement risks. Residents who may not require a secured unit but are still at risk of wandering are also provided with WanderGuard devices.

Dining Experience

The dining experience at Renton House Village is restaurant-style, offering two main meal options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with a side menu available every day that includes items like burgers, hot dogs, salads, and sandwiches.

Feedback and Communication

Residents can voice their concerns or complaints to the lead concierge, who will direct the issue to the appropriate staff member for resolution. Open communication is encouraged, and residents can also meet with the executive director or the director of nursing if needed. The community maintains a Facebook page for activities and updates, and uses a "call them all" system for important communications with family members.

Renton House Village fosters a warm and engaging environment, as evidenced by the presence of pets and the personal touch of staff members, such as the lead concierge's dog being a familiar presence and enjoying treats from the residents.
