Community Details

Community Details

This detailed information was received through an email from the Community Relations Director at Regent Court Senior Living via email on 2024-04-29.

Overview on the Types of Professionals on Our Staff and Their Training

Our community consists of an Administrator, a Registered Nurse, a regional Registered Nurse who is here 3 days a week, 2 care managers, medication technicians, caregivers, housekeepers, maintenance personnel, a Dining Service Manager, cooks, and main office personnel like myself, our business office manager, and our receptionist. Our entire team undergoes a 40-hour training prior to starting their role. This consists of online and hands-on training, including how to properly redirect residents, how to safely transfer them, and how to assist agitated residents. Our nurse and regional nurse lead quarterly refresher courses that are mainly hands-on. All staff also complete annual refresher courses online.

Measures to Ensure the Safety and Well-being of Residents

This is a great question! There are A LOT of measures, and some are customized based on a resident's specific need. Our most common measures include providing secure exit and entryways to prevent elopement. We are divided into 4 neighborhoods of 12, and that’s how we coordinate our staffing. Caregivers and med techs are assigned per neighborhood, allowing them to have more eye on our residents. We have handrails in the hallways for residents who need extra safety when ambulating. As I learn more about your loved one’s needs, I can better address which safety measures will be applicable.

Resources or Support Services for Residents' Transition

Yes! This is contingent on the needs of the resident. If someone is resistant to the move or confused about it, we have different approaches and resources to assist in the transition.

Transportation Services for Residents

We offer transportation to outings and different activities, and we partner with a 3rd party to provide transportation to and from medical appointments.

Dining Experience

Our dining experience consists of 3 meals a day, plus snack times in between. Since 48 residents live in our community, we have two dining rooms. We always have 2 main courses that residents can choose from per meal but also accommodate individual preferences or dietary needs.

Process for Handling Resident Complaints or Issues

Each resident is assigned to one of our 2 care managers. They are the main contact person to report issues or complaints. Residents can approach anyone in their proximity to express concerns, which will be relayed to the appropriate person. The administrator and nurse also address those concerns.

Cost of Living in Our Community

Costs start at $6,495 and vary depending on care needs.

Policy on Communication with Residents’ Families

We cater to this depending on how much communication a family wants. Some families want very routine updates, others only want to be contacted in emergencies, and others visit often enough that they’re always involved. As we learn more about your needs, we can create a plan that works for you to ensure you’re always informed.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Our respite care program is for a 30-day stay.

Pet-Friendly Community

Yes, families are welcome to bring pets to visit as often as they’d like, as long as vaccines are documented. Residents cannot have pets living with them.

Current Waitlist Status

Yes, we currently have a waitlist.

Vaccinations in the Community

We haven’t had Covid clinics recently, but we arrange transport for flu vaccinations if necessary.

Aging in Place

Yes, once a resident is admitted, we commit to see them until the end of life. There are very rare exceptions that we can talk about. I hope this is helpful information! Our waitlist isn’t too long, but it varies, so if this is something you’re considering soon, let me know and we’ll work on making something happen. My cell phone number is 541-609-9921.
