Our Staff

Our staff consists of Licensed Practical Nurses, Medication Technicians (trained to give traditional medications and have diabetic training), and Resident Life Associates (who assist with bathing, dressing, toileting etc.) All of our staff go through annual training courses and those caring for individuals with dementia get additional training on top of that.

Resident Security

Every resident has their own apartment keys so they can lock their doors if they choose. Our front doors are also locked in the evening. There is a doorbell for anyone wishing to come in after hours and staff would have to let them in.

Ambassador Program

We have an ambassador program here to assist new residents in getting acclimated to our community. Our residents are very good at welcoming new members and helping them transition since they’ve all experienced it before.

Transportation

We offer transportation to local doctor appointments (within 10 miles). There is no additional charge as it’s covered in our monthly rent.

Dining

All of our residents eat in the dining room. Breakfast is open seating with assigned tables and times for lunch and dinner. Everything is restaurant style so our members just sit at their table and we bring everything to them.

Open Door Policy

We have an open door policy and we encourage our residents to let us know if there is anything they are not satisfied with. We provide a list of our directors with the number to reach them at depending on what the concern is. We also have meetings with our Executive Director where residents get a chance to discuss any concerns they have. There are numbers provided to make a formal complaint as well.

Family Communication

We encourage families to reach out to nursing to get updates on how their loved ones are doing. If there are any concerns on our end, we make sure to reach out and have open discussion to ensure everyone’s well-being.

Respite Stays

Respite stays are based on room availability. At this time we are full so we are not offering respite stays. When we do offer them they are a minimum of 30 days with a $20.00/day fee added in addition to the monthly rent.

Pet Policy

We are pet friendly. We allow pet visitors and residents can have pets but they must be able to care for their pet completely independently. All pets need current vaccination records on file in the office.

Vaccination

Our pharmacy does offer periodic COVID vaccines. When we know they are being offered we have our resident’s sign up and can vaccinate on site. We also have flu vaccine clinics on site.

Aging in Place

Aging in place is our company motto. Once a resident chooses their apartment they can remain in that same apartment even as their needs change. Our goal is to keep everyone in their home as long as possible. If the situation requires, we even have home health and hospice agencies get involved to help manage care needs.

Waitlist

We do have a waitlist. It requires a $500.00 deposit that is either fully refundable or will be applied to our community fee if someone moves in. Once on the waitlist, we call the individual when the style apartment they prefer becomes open. They can either take the apartment or pass on it until another one becomes available.
