Overview on the Types of Professionals on Our Staff and the Training They Undergo

Our Admin Team consists of an Executive Director who is required to get a CRCF License by the LLR of SC and undergo annual ongoing training of 18 credit education hours. We have a licensed nurse who oversees the MedTech's and caregivers. Our nurses require constant training. Additionally, all staff, including dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, life enrichment, admin, and care staff, participate in Relias, a training program we use to keep our team up-to-date on Assisted Living and Memory Care services. We also conduct an annual in-service training as mandated by the state.

Measures to Ensure the Safety and Well-Being of Residents

All doors are locked and require a code to enter or exit (doors can be opened after 15 seconds for safety measures). We are nestled in a safe and quiet neighborhood, North Park, near Bob Jones University.

Resources and Support Services for Residents' Transition

We have companies we could refer to assist in moving to make the transition easier.

Transportation Services for Residents

Yes, we provide transportation to and from Doctor's appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We also go on outings weekly to places like Wal-Mart and Publix.

Dining Experience

Residents enjoy delicious and healthy meals in the Sensations dining room with friendly tableside service from an attentive and cheerful team. There are options of soup and salad with every lunch and dinner, along with an "always available menu" featuring items like Chef salads, grilled cheese, chicken tenders, hamburgers, and french fries. Our chefs prepare food with a knack for international cuisines to homemade favorites. We also follow dietary restrictions such as diabetes, low salt, and other diets according to residents' needs.

Process for Addressing Resident Complaints or Issues

At signing, we provide information and contact numbers to our Corporate offices and the State Aging Agency called Ombudsman for any complaints.

Policy on Communication with Residents' Families

We contact families if there are any concerns, such as a change in their baseline, falls, care plans, and more. Communication is key!

Short-Term or Respite Stays

If availability permits, we provide respite stays for a minimum of 7 days up to 30 days at $200/day.

Pet-Friendly Policy

Yes, we are a pet-friendly community. We require a limited size dog with proof of shot records annually and a $500 non-refundable deposit and an extra $25/day. Cats are welcome as well, limited to one pet per room.

Waitlist Status

While in the past, we have had many months of a waiting list, we currently do not have a waitlist, though this could change quickly.

COVID and Flu Vaccinations

Yes, residents can get their Covid and flu vaccinations in the community. Our pharmacy provides these annually, and notifications will be sent out to inform family members.

Aging in Place

Yes, with appropriate services, residents can age in place. We update care plans to provide the necessary care and refer to other services to keep them in place unless they no longer meet state guidelines for Assisted Living and Memory Care.
