Staff Composition and Training
Our facility employs a range of professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for our residents. The executive director and Care Manager are both experienced social workers. Our director of nursing is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), supported by additional LPNs on staff. A nurse is available around the clock to meet any medical needs. Resident Aides and Med Techs are comprehensively trained in personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting, and fall assistance. Med Techs receive additional training in safe and accurate medication administration. Furthermore, all staff members receive cross-training in departments like food service and activities to maintain consistent, high-level care.Safety and Well-Being Measures
To monitor resident wellness, all are encouraged to attend two daily communal meals in the dining room. Staff use this time to observe resident health and engagement. Safety is further enhanced through alarmed exit doors and hourly overnight safety checks. Our activities director proactively ensures resident participation in activities. Each room is equipped with two call bells for resident or staff use in emergencies.Support Services for Transitioning Residents
We strive to integrate new residents swiftly and smoothly. Admissions typically occur in the morning, allowing newcomers to join the community for lunch immediately. We encourage participation in activities and events to facilitate acclimation.Transportation Services
While our bus is currently under repair, it will resume service for off-property activities and scheduled appointments upon resolution by year-end.Dining Experience
Meals are served restaurant-style with breakfast options like made-to-order eggs, pancakes, and meats, alongside cereals. Lunch and dinner feature rotational chef-curated menus, with alternative menu options available daily, including various sandwiches and hot options. The current lunch offering is BBQ Chicken thighs with sides, and dinner includes Baked mac & cheese with stewed tomatoes and dessert. Additionally, residents enjoy three daily snack opportunities.Complaint Resolution Process
Management maintains an open-door policy, with a member on call at all times. Monthly resident council and dining meetings provide a platform for feedback. Residents and their families are encouraged to voice concerns anytime.Family Communication Policy
Families of residents are welcome to inquire about their loved ones at any time. Timely updates are given if a resident experiences an incident such as a fall or illness.Short-Term or Respite Stays
We offer respite stays starting at 30 days, up to 90 days. Charges include the room rate and applicable care levels, exempting the community fee unless resident status changes to full-time post-respite.Pet-Friendly Policy
Our community welcomes pets, with residents responsible for their care. Dogs have a maximum weight limit of 30lbs, and only one pet per apartment is permitted. A one-time $1000 pet fee applies.Waitlist Status
There is currently no waitlist for Assisted Living. Memory care is near capacity, likely resulting in a six-month waiting list. Availability can fluctuate as rooms may advance quickly through the current list.Vaccination Availability
Residents can receive Covid and flu vaccinations within the community. We are hosting a vaccine clinic for Flu, Covid, and RSV in late October.Aging in Place Policy
While we aim to allow residents to age in place, the Department of Health's licensure limitations may necessitate transitions to higher care levels. Our care team collaborates with families to ensure appropriate support and placement. It is important to note that hospice services cannot be provided within assisted living facilities according to NYS Department of Health regulations. For pricing & availability call (866) 204-9238
