There are 25 different apartment styles and sizes available at very reasonable rents:

  • Studios starting at $2,965
  • 1-Bedrooms starting at $3,895
  • 2-Bedrooms starting at $5,425

Additional Fees

  • One time community fee: 1⁄2 of the monthly rent
  • 2nd person charge: $550 per month

Staff and Management

As far as staff, we have two sets of live-in managers that undergo extensive training in order to provide residents with the best experience possible. We also have an Executive Chef and Sous Chef with fine dining experience to deliver top-quality meals. Each member of our non-management staff undergoes a full five days (unless additional training is required) of training in their respective positions to ensure the best quality possible. They also engage in periodic retraining and annual evaluations to maintain top-quality performance. The majority of our staff are tenured and have great relationships with residents, knowing them all by name.

Safety and Security

Our on-site managers are available 24/7 and are less than 3 minutes away from any resident. We provide Lively Mobile 2 pendants (included in rent price), keycard entry doors on all sides of the building, and the front doors are keycard entry only after 7 PM as measures to provide safety and security for our residents.

Resident Ambassador Program

We have a Resident Ambassador Program to help new residents transition into our community smoothly. This program involves a group of caring and outgoing residents who volunteer to be assigned to incoming residents. They help conduct activities such as; sitting with them at meals, encouraging them to participate in activities/outings, answering any community-related questions they may have, and giving them an overall sense that they are among family at Paloma Landing.

Transportation Services

We have a bus operating Monday-Friday. Mondays are open for residents to schedule trips to grocery stores or similar locations. Tuesdays and Thursdays prioritize Doctor’s appointments over other requested trips. Wednesdays are outing days, meaning our Activity Coordinator plans trips for the residents, such as attending the State Fair. They also visit the Casino on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Fridays are open days as well.

Dining Experience

Our dining experience is a Restaurant-style setting. Residents come down to the Dining Room three times a day to receive quality meals from caring and professional servers. The best way to understand our dining experience is to experience it firsthand! 😊 There is a remarkable sense of community and comfort during meal times, especially Dinner (midday meal) when most residents gather to eat and socialize. Residents are encouraged to invite their friends and family members to meals whenever they wish.

Resident Feedback and Concerns

If a resident has a complaint or issue, we strongly encourage them to share these with the Management Team. However, if they wish to remain anonymous, we have a Suggestions Box in the Activity Room. Residents also have access to Hawthorn's Resident Hotline phone number, where they can directly address concerns or issues with our Home Office.

Cost and Leasing Options

The cost varies depending on apartment size and floor plan, with a starting price of $2965 per month. Our leasing policy is month-to-month, and we require a 30-day notice for any changes.

Communication with Family

We prioritize open communication with all our residents’ family members. Family members are encouraged to contact us with any questions or concerns. In the event of an emergency or fall, we will notify the first person on the resident’s contact list, even if emergency services are not involved. We maintain close contact with residents daily, allowing us to notice any significant changes in their condition and inform family members accordingly.

Short-term and Respite Stays

We offer short-term and respite stays on a month-to-month basis, requiring only a 30-day notice.

Pet Policy

We are pet-friendly! All pets are welcomed and encouraged, provided they are up-to-date on vaccinations and their owners clean up after them. Pets are not allowed in areas where food is served.

Apartment Availability

We currently have a waitlist for 2-bedroom apartments and a short list for 1-bedroom apartments. There is no waitlist for studios. However, our 1-bedroom waitlist has been updated regarding the available units, and none are currently interested.

Healthcare Services

We host companies that come into the community to give flu and Covid vaccines.

Aging in Place

We encourage residents to age in place whenever possible!
