Overview of Professional Staff and Training
We have a diverse team including a Licensed Executive Director/Administrator, Nurse, Regional Nurse, and multiple Med and Care Aides on-site. Our staff undergoes extensive annual training mandated by DHS, with additional training in Dementia, Life Enrichment, Customer Service, and our company mission. Our commitment to training has contributed to receiving one of the few best in state DHS inspections.
Safety and Well-being Measures
Our facility ensures resident safety and well-being through 24-hour on-site team members, shift supervisors, safety checks, a secured dementia neighborhood, a wander guard system, and state-of-the-art fire alarm and sprinkler systems. We conduct monthly fire/evacuation drills, weekly resident reviews, daily meetings to discuss community happenings, biweekly physician visits, and offer on-site rehabilitation services for both reactive and preventive measures.
Transition Support Services
To aid residents' transition into our community, lead team members check in on residents every shift. The Executive Director conducts daily checks for the first week, and department heads introduce themselves to new residents. We also discuss new residents in our morning team meetings to ensure their comfort and happiness.
Transportation Services
We offer transportation to basic appointments and work with families to accommodate residents requiring frequent transportation, such as for dialysis.
Dining Experience
Our dining experience, led by Chef Jesse, has won awards for meals and dining. Our owner and residents enjoy frequent meals and famous desserts prepared by our chefs.
Complaint and Issue Resolution
We have a complaint policy that involves starting an investigation immediately and keeping the resident/family informed throughout the process. We take complaints seriously and address them promptly.
Communication with Residents' Families
We notify families of any changes in their loved ones' condition, ensuring open and natural communication due to strong relationships between our team and families.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We offer short-term or respite stays, which are more expensive than long-term stays due to the preparation involved. We provide support to families and residents during the adjustment period to their new home.
Pet Policy
We are pet-friendly for service animals and may consider a small pet with all vaccinations if the resident can maintain it with minimal assistance and the family agrees to step in if needed.
Waitlist Information
We currently have a waitlist for memory care, and our Personal Care/Assisted Living rooms are either allotted or close to being allotted. We maintain a waiting list for residents committed to joining us when ready.
Vaccination Services
We coordinate Covid and flu vaccinations for all residents within our community.
Aging in Place
Our community supports aging in place, offering memory care, personal care, palliative, and hospice services to allow residents to age comfortably in their new home.
