Professional Staff and Training Overview
Our facility is staffed with a diverse team of professionals who undergo several training courses annually. These courses are state-mandated for all Assisted Living Communities and cover areas such as food handling, storage, and preparation, fall prevention, risk management, and emergency evacuation procedures for events like floods, fires, and severe weather conditions. Additional training includes dealing with memory impairments, HIPAA laws, CPR, safety training, appropriate chemical usage, and more. Beyond standard training, our resident care team receives specialized training in medication assistance, gait belt use, and resident care. Generally, our management team possesses college degrees and/or extensive expertise in their respective fields.Safety and Well-being Measures
To ensure resident safety and well-being, all residents are provided with a pendant for assistance requests and emergency pull chains in restrooms. Our facility is carpet-free, and throw rugs are discouraged. The memory care area is secured, requiring sign-in and sign-out practices for residents leaving the community. Pets must be leashed when outside their designated zones. We implement a full lockdown from dusk till dawn. Assisted living and independent residents can exit during these hours and are required to sign in and out, notifying staff for accuracy in resident whereabouts.Support Services for Transition
Our onboarding process and welcome committee assist new residents in adapting to their new environment with help during the first 2-4 weeks. Staff focuses on familiarizing new residents with meal times, activities, and community amenities.Transportation Services
We provide transportation within a 25-mile radius for medical appointments, shopping, and other outings using our small bus.Dining Experience
We offer a restaurant-style dining experience with a main entrée for each meal and an all-day menu available from 7 am to 7 pm. Snacks and hydration stations with fruit punch, coffee, and water are accessible throughout the day.Complaint Resolution Process
For non-emergency issues, residents can use our complaint box or suggestions box. Concerns related to health and safety must be reported to the Executive Director or management team for immediate attention.Family Communication Policy
Communication with residents' families is situation-dependent. For incidents like falls, regardless of injury, designated family members or POAs are notified immediately after evaluating the resident's needs. Any notable changes in a resident's condition prompt discussion with families to determine the best course of action.Short-term and Respite Stays
We offer short-term or respite stays: $175.00/day for assisted living and $200.00/day for memory care, with a minimum of 14 days and a maximum of 30 days.Pet-Friendly Policy
Our community accepts pets up to 25 pounds, with a limit of two pets per apartment. Pets must be leashed outside apartments and are not allowed in dining areas.Waitlist Information
