Waitlist Information

We do not have a waitlist for Assisted Living or Independent Living Patio Homes. We do have a waitlist for Independent Living Apartments and Long-Stay Skilled nursing.

Our Professional Staff and Training

We are required by the state to be “ran” by an Administrator to keep our license. Our Administrator and Executive Director of the campus’ name is Jennifer Lenthe. She has her bachelors in Nursing and has been at Otterbein for over 10 years. We also have two nurses who oversee the clinical care of Wellness Services (Independent Living), Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing/Long-Stay Nursing. Their names are Dustin RN and Ashley LPN. There is also a Licensed Social Worker on staff for resident needs. Her name is Stacy and she’s been with us for nearly 10 years. We also have Physical and Occupational Therapists that run our therapy department that are licensed. We do require continued education for all licensed employees (partners) at Otterbein.

Safety and Well-being Measures

For Independent Living, we offer Security by way of pull cords in apartments and patio homes and pendants (optional). Assisted Living offers 24/7 clinical staffing in addition to pendants to push in case of an emergency, call lights, and barrier free living environments to provide safe accommodations for those of all abilities. Skilled Nursing and Long Stay Nursing are both fulfilled in Small House environments with secure doors, pendants for call lights, barrier-free living, and 24/7 Clinical staffing.

Transition Support Services

Yes we do! Our healthcare counselors are skilled in needing to know what services to offer each individual inquiring about life at Otterbein and will employ services upon request.

Dining Experience

Chef Frank Maltese is our Executive Chef and has been at Otterbein for nearly two years. He has extensive experience in this environment and is also the former owner of the Mon Ami winery. He meets the “taste factor” by providing excellent meals for our residents but also can create dignified options for residents requiring modified diets.

Addressing Complaints and Issues

Residents may present their concerns at monthly Resident Counsel meetings (all scheduled accordingly with different care levels) or directly with management at Otterbein at any time.

Communication with Residents' Families

We offer proactive monthly newsletters in addition to “all calls” when more of an emergency arises. Our social worker also stays in touch with families if health concerns arise.
