Do you guys currently have a waitlist?
Yes. We currently have a waitlist on several floorplans in both Assisted Living and Memory Care but not all folks on our waitlist are ready to move in which means we do have some availability.
Could you share pricing and any other general information?
Yes, I am happy to share pricing with you but believe it’s very important to understand what is included in the pricing. When someone moves into our community, they are responsible for paying their monthly rent plus any care costs based on their individual care plan.
Rent includes dining, activities, excursions, weekly laundry service, weekly housekeeping, chauffeured transportation, emergency response system, and utilities. (Fee Schedule attached)
Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?
We have several professionals on our staff such as our Executive Director, Senior Health Services Director, Memory Care Director, Business Office Director, Executive Chef, Marketing Director, Maintenance Director, and Activity Director. All Directors use the Relias Training Platform to keep compliant according to the standards of the State of California and Department of Social Services. In addition, we collaborate with an onsite Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy team.
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?
Yes. We have an Emergency Response system in place which includes Philips Lifeline pendants as well as alert buttons in all restrooms. We have alarmed egress doors, motion detection, wander guards, and staff that performs safety checks and is 1st Aid & CPR certified. We also host classes for our residents with topics such as Fall Prevention, Healthy Heart, and a full array of exercise classes which focus on balance, strength, and flexibility. Our community is purpose built with seniors in mind to make navigation easier.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
Yes. Our Team is involved in all aspects of a resident’s transition into the community and can offer a multitude of resources to insure they have access to all services.
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
Yes. We have a transportation program, a full-time driver, a luxury vehicle, and a 15-16 passenger bus equipped with a ramp for wheelchairs.
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
Yes. Our Assisted Living Dining Room is open from 7am -7pm, seven days a week. We offer menu items from the Daily menu plus items from our Daily Specials menu. Our Daily menu is seasonal and changes quarterly so we can offer a unique menu during the Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. Daily Specials include a housemade soup, breakfast and lunch specials, as well as two dinner specials from which to choose. Our dining room is open seating with indoor and outdoor seating options. We serve breakfast ALL DAY. Our Executive Chef runs a 90/10 kitchen, which means 90% of all food is from scratch!
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?
If a resident has a complaint, they can take it directly to the Executive Director who has an open door policy.
What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
We communicate with family members on the well-being of their loved ones frequently. As far as sensitive communications go, we insure we are speaking directly to the Resident’s medical and financial POA’s/Legal Powers of Attorney.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
We can offer respite stays but if our occupancy is at a high rate and we have very little availability, we typically leave those rooms available for long-term, permanent residents. Of course, each situation is handled on a case-by-case basis with the Executive Director’s approval.
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
Yes. We allow pets and have a pet park and place pet stickers on the front doors of the apartment homes in which they live. There are special criteria for pets as well as pet deposits.
Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?
We offer flu vaccinations. Covid vaccinations have not been available in our area in some time.
Are residents able to age in place?
Of course. We prefer if they do! Some residents wait until their health has failed considerably before making the decision to move into our community. We would like to see them here earlier, making friends, enjoying experiences, leading healthy lives so they thrive!
