Do you guys currently have a waitlist?
No.
Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?
We hire and train our own staff with the Oakmont standards of quality of care. We have ongoing monthly trainings in person and webinars.
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?
We have our staff available 24/7 and we utilize pendants for the residents' usage to call for us. I would like to answer this more thoroughly in person as I would like to know what safety concerns you have now.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
We have resources such as movers. What sets us apart is we have an engagement coordinator that helps new residents get adjusted and welcomed into the community for the first 30 days.
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
Yes, we do!
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
We take our culinary services seriously at Oakmont. The dining room is open from 7am to 7pm. We even have breakfast served all day and signature dishes on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?
If there are any grievances, it is best to share with any members of management in that specific department. If there is a larger concern, our Executive Director is readily available to address any concerns.
What is the cost of living in your community?
It really depends on what you would like for yourself. What were you hoping to transition into?
What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
We work together with families to maintain clear communication. We would need to know who is the best person to get in touch with and be sure to reach out with any updates on care, supply needs of the residents, or if there is a change of conditions.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
Due to limited availability of apartment homes, we do not offer respite stays.
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
Yes! We even have a dog park!
Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?
During flu season we have flu clinics.
Are residents able to age in place?
Due to our licensing, we have limitations as we are not able to have any skilled nursing needs met in the community-these look like having a picline/intense wound care. We are able to accommodate residents to the end of life as long as there are proper services such as hospice.
