At Oakmont Livonia, we have the following supervisory positions: Executive Director, Assistant Director, Activity Director, Maintenance Supervisor, Housekeeping Supervisor, Chef, and Dining Room Supervisor.

Safety and Well-being Measures

As a Senior Independent community, Oakmont Livonia provides emergency pendants, pull cords within the units, locked and alarmed community doors at night, a receptionist stationed at the front desk 24/7, and cameras in common areas.

Support Services for Transition

Oakmont Livonia has a Welcome Committee comprised of resident volunteers who welcome new residents by introducing them to activities and sometimes sharing meals. A move-in notice is sent to all department heads with details about the new resident to ensure staff awareness and a warm welcome.

Process for Addressing Complaints

Residents can address concerns directly with the Executive Director, whose door is always open. Additionally, monthly Resident Meetings are held with all department heads to address any questions or concerns. A suggestion box is also available for anonymous feedback.

Communication with Families

Activities and events are shared on Facebook, monthly newsletters, weekly calendars, and digital bulletin boards. Any last-minute updates are communicated to families and residents via a flyer at the front desk.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Our short-term/respite stay policy requires a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of 30 days. It includes a furnished studio apartment with amenities such as meals, housekeeping, and activities. A refundable $500 deposit is required, held in case of damages.

Pet Policy

We are a pet-friendly community with a $250 non-refundable pet fee and an additional $25/month. There is a 25lb weight limit for pets.

Current Waitlist Status

Currently, we have a waitlist for our two-bedroom apartments and limited availability for studio and one-bedroom apartments.

COVID and Flu Vaccinations

While we are hosting a Flu Shot clinic in October conducted by a visiting nurse practitioner, the COVID vaccine is not being offered at this time.

Yes, residents are able to age in place at Oakmont Livonia.
