Do you guys currently have a waitlist?

At this time, we are running very low on assisted living apartments, but do have space currently in memory care.

Could you share pricing and any other general information?

If I didn't send it already, I am attaching our folder and the pricing will be included.

Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?

We have a lead caregiver program called A.R.M.s, or Advocate resident Manager. They are the leads who coach, train, and counsel our new staff. They get monthly trainings on specific cares pertaining to senior needs.

Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?

I would be interested in a little more clarity as to what you're looking for. I can answer at a 30,000 foot view. We do background checks on every associate that comes to work at Oak Park Place, and we have a secure memory care neighborhood so that they are at a severely decreased risk of elopement. Let me know what you're referring to.

Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?

We have a comprehensive leadership welcome program internally, and we can offer a home care company to assist them in the transition at a third party fee, if that's something you'd be interested in. Again, a little more insight would be helpful with that question.

Do you offer transportation services for residents?

We do not.

Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?

Because of our licensure, we have 3 meals provided to our residents daily, including hydration passes and snacks. Our food is restaurant style and our chef likes to call her recipes "meals that mom and dad made us".

What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?

You would speak to any of our leadership staff, and they will direct you to our Director of Housing, which is another name for the Executive Director. If you feel like that has not been satisfied to your needs, every community has an ombudsman that is assigned and available to you for additional assistance.

What is your policy on communication with resident's families?

We have a family email list that we get out necessary communications, and most communities are a "no news is good news" basis, but if you ever need to talk to us, we are always here to help.

How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?

It's regulation that we are supposed to have a care conference with you as the family every year, but same as above, anytime you need to sit down with us, we're here for you.

Do you all offer short-term or respite stays?

Yes we do, typically between 14 and 60 days.

Are you all a pet-friendly community?

We accept cats under 15lbs as long as the resident/family can take care of it.

Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?

Yes!

Are residents able to age in place?

In most cases, yes. we do not have skilled care here at Oak Park Place, so for things like total cares, pick likes, and feeding, those are all skilled needs. We have memory care here, and as long as they are not a harm to themselves or others, they are able to age in place here. We contract with hospice companies so that our residents are able to pass here, which becomes home.
