Additionally, the staff includes the Executive Director, Business Office Manager, Activities Director, Maintenance Director, Housekeeping, Dietary Staff, and Marketing Director. All staff members receive Assisted Living-specific training at the time of hire and complete additional in-service training bi-monthly, semi-annually, or annually, depending on their role in the community.Measures for Resident Safety and Well-Being
All resident rooms and bathrooms are equipped with emergency call cords, grab bars in all bathrooms, pull-down benches in showers or shower chairs, alarmed doors, and handrails in the hallways. Safety checks are performed on residents every two hours. Additionally, OHP has implemented a new cleaning and sanitizing program that is completely safe for residents and staff, environmentally friendly, and effectively eliminates germs and viruses.Resources and Support Services for Transitioning Residents
Support services are offered to all residents during move-in, which are tailored to meet the unique circumstances of each individual resident’s needs. Services may include a peer-to-peer buddy system, an assigned staff supporter, and the option for families to stay with the resident until they have acclimated to their new home. Residents receive a move-in packet and a welcome gift, and staff will visit new residents in their room and provide reminders for each activity.Transportation Services
Transportation to doctor appointments within a 20-mile radius is complimentary. For appointments 20 miles or greater, there is a $25.00 fee per trip or for non-scheduled trips. If a travel companion is required, the cost is $55.00 per hour, with a minimum of one hour. Additionally, the Activities department provides complimentary outings.Dining Experience
OHP offers restaurant-style dining with staff serving all drinks and meals to the residents. Meals are served at 8am, 12pm, and 5pm. Menus are posted on a dining board and on each table, with an option for a second meal choice if residents want something different from the posted menu. Reminders and escorts to the dining room are provided if needed. Room service is available for residents who prefer to eat in their room. Recent dining enhancements include a specially crafted, low-sodium spice exclusive to Inspirit AL communities and a move toward a farm-to-table program offering fresh local produce. OHP’s dining is often described as home-like, with good food and good friends.Process for Handling Resident Complaints and Issues
Depending on the nature of the resident's concern, it would be handled by the Nurse Manager, Activities Director, Business Office Manager, or the Executive Director. Residents can offer suggestions or raise concerns at the monthly resident council meeting facilitated by the Activities department. Formal documentation of concerns can be made using the appropriate form, and our Executive Director has an open-door policy to work closely with residents and families for successful outcomes.Cost of Living
The room rate at OHP is $2714.00 per month, with larger rooms available at an additional cost. Care costs and a one-time community fee are also collected. Once the assessment is complete, OHP will provide a quote for the total cost.Communication with Residents' Families
Families are notified via telephone by care staff if there are any changes or concerns regarding the resident’s well-being. The Nurse Manager and/or Executive Director will schedule a care conference each time the health assessment is updated (every 90 days).
