Overview of Staff and Training
Our staff includes a variety of professionals: Registered Nurses (RN’s) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN’s), certified Medication Aides, certified Nurses Aides, and Hospitality Aides. We also have a team dedicated to Life Enrichment, Social Work, Health Information Management (HIM), Human Resources, Maintenance, Environmental Services, a Certified Dietary Manager, and a Registered Dietician. Additionally, our facility is visited by Nurse Practitioners up to five times weekly and by a Medical Doctor (MD) once a month.Safety and Well-being Measures
To ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, floor staff conduct rounds at least every two hours. During daytime hours, most residents are engaged in activities in common areas such as playing games, listening to entertainment, socializing, watching television, or attending therapy sessions.Resources and Support Services for Community Transition
Nye Health Services offers a full continuum of care, including long-term care, short-term rehab, respite care, hospice care (with two hospice suites), as well as physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. We also offer outpatient therapy, home health care, independent living, and assisted living.Dining Experience
Nye Legacy features three dining rooms. The rehab side hosts a dining room for short-term stay residents. On the traditional side, one dining area serves residents who require no assistance with meals, while another is designated for those needing hands-on assistance or cueing. Residents enjoy three meals daily, along with snacks throughout the day. A highlight is our soft serve ice cream available daily from 2-4 PM.Complaint and Issue Resolution Process
We aim to address concerns as they arise. Residents or family members can bring concerns to any staff member, though they typically communicate with social services, the clinical coordinator, the director of nursing, or the administrator. Concerns are documented and resolved within five days whenever possible.Family Communication Policy
Effective communication with residents' families is crucial. We utilize multiple channels including telephone calls, texts, emails, face-to-face interactions, and occasionally letters via USPS, to keep families updated about their loved ones' well-being.Pet-Friendly Policy
We welcome pets to visit, provided they have up-to-date vaccinations and are on a leash or secured in a cage.Vaccinations for Residents
Residents are encouraged to get booster vaccinations as well as annual and periodic vaccinations like Influenza and Pneumonia. Most vaccinations can be administered within our facility.Aging in Place
We strive to create a familial and homelike environment for our residents. Occasionally, a resident’s needs may exceed what our facility can provide, in which case we assist in finding suitable alternate placements. While we do not maintain a waiting list, we use a working document to prioritize potential residents based on need and other factors. For pricing & availability call (866) 204-9238
