Overview on Types of Professionals on Our Staff and Their Training

We have five managers on our leadership team that have various degrees of training based on their profession. NorthWest Place offers ongoing industry specific training such as disaster preparedness, hospitality, medical emergencies, etc.

Measures to Ensure the Safety and Well-being of Our Residents

We are staffed 24-7, and staff are first responders to any medical emergencies. We check on our residents daily—by 10:30am if we have not heard from you or seen you, we will come physically check on you to make sure you are okay. We have pull cords in the bedroom and bathroom that, if pulled, will alert the front desk immediately. Our staff monitor security cameras and patrol the grounds after hours. Any resident incidents are documented. Staff are trained to voice concerns of residents who show a change in their normal behavior to management so it can be addressed in a timely manner. We have a Physical Therapy company onsite that provides bi-weekly preventative fitness classes with a focus on strengthening and maintaining balance. Happy to discuss this all in further detail in person or over the phone.

Resources or Support Services to Aid Residents' Transition into the Community

We review our Resident Handbook prior to move-in that includes some important details about the community. Our resident Welcoming Committee provides a Resident Binder they have created within a few days of moving in, and will invite you to dinner and various activities to get to know others. Department Managers provide an overview of their departments before or upon move-in.

Transportation Services for Residents

Transportation is currently offered at no charge Tuesday-Thursday within a five-mile radius of NorthWest Place.

Our Dining Experience

NorthWest Place offers a fine dining experience. During each meal, you will have numerous daily specials to choose from, including a menu of always available options and a plant-based FreshZest item nightly. We cook food to order and cater to dietary restrictions or allergies. Our Chef has over 40 years of experience in fine dining, having worked locally at Ringside and Blue Hour. Our dining room is open for three meals daily, from 7:30am-7pm. Breakfast and choice of lunch or dinner is included daily.

Process for Resident Complaints or Issues

Residents can voice a complaint with me or a manager directly as we follow an open-door policy. Residents may also write a comment card. These get logged and sent to the respective department and me to address in a timely manner. We have an active Resident Association that brings questions or concerns to me to address in a monthly Town Hall meeting with all residents.

Cost of Living in Our Community

Our financial structure is a one-time service initiation fee that is 70% refundable, and a monthly fee. Pricing based on the unit size is included in the last page of the brochure attached.

Policy on Communication with Resident's Families

We send out notifications on our online program platform and make phone calls in the case of an individual emergency.

Short-term or Respite Stays
