Overview on Staff and Training
Unlicensed, CNA’s, trained medication administration with the oversight of our RN’s and LPN’s. Our UDALSA attached can shed more light on services and staff. Initial training is 2x weeks of our care skills courses and shadowing for all team-members regardless of their department. In addition, we have hours of continuing education that encompasses all that is required for New Perspective’s procedures and from the MN department of health.Safety and Well-Being of Residents
Safety can be defined very broadly in our industry to answer specifically, for some it is factors related to fall management while for others it may relate to the security of our property. I could write a book about policies however if there’s anything you would like me to focus on, I am happy to.Resources and Support Services for Transition
Yes, each member of our leadership team will meet with our new residents the first few days to ensure that they know who to turn to. You can speak directly with our culinary director or our director of nursing depending on the need. I have a handful of resident ambassadors that volunteer to welcome our new residents for the first weeks. This could be a friend to eat with in the dining room, go to the chapel with or another peer to answer general questions before making the decision to move-in.Transportation Services
Yes, we offer scheduled transportation for shopping and medical appointments (within’ a 10 mile radius) The rest would consist of trips and outings.Dining Experience
Mike, our culinary director has been with us for 5 years. Prior to that he has helped open 5 star restaurants across Bloomington and Edina. After getting tired of all that, we were very fortunate to have him join us. More importantly he has trained the team so well that our food is consistent, and I can’t tell whether it is Mike making the food or one of our other team-members. You can expect a breakfast that is cooked to order, along with featured entrée’s for lunch and dinner. I attached an always available menu showcasing our alternate options as needed. Our food is highly recommended, and servers take your order just like a restaurant. If there are dietary concerns, I can elaborate on what we can and cannot do.Complaint or Issue Resolution Process
If the issue is minor, they would would want to start with our concierge for the best direction or department specific leader. Ultimately Bridget, our Executive Director would be the best point of contact for broad or unresolved concerns. We do have a formal grievance binder and process that we would follow for these more complex cases.Cost of Living
I attached our rate sheets to offer a better framework.Communication with Families
If you are an independent living resident there is limited to know follow-up. Assisted Living/Memory Care we typically update over our assessments, care conferences, falls and emergencies provided we have the healthcare power of attorney and contacts listed.Short-term or Respite Stays
We do not.Pet-Friendly Policy
We allow residents to have cats or dogs under 35 lbs with vet records, policy sign offs and a $30/mo pet fee. We also have scheduled pet therapy from a social activity aspect and occasionally we will see families bring their furry friends to see their loved ones.Waitlist Status
YesVaccination Availability
Yes, we do have covid-19 and flu clinics (typically as we approach fall)Aging in Place
Yes we do have the age in place model however there may be a move if needing to go from our assisted living apartments to our memory care apartments. There are also specific cares that are best suited for a skilled nursing home setting which are typically the needs not encompassed in our MN UDALSA.For pricing & availability call (866) 204-9238
