Overview of Staff and Training

All of our resident aides are trained and certified to meet the TDADS Standards, here is a link to their website: TDADS

Safety and Well-being Measures

Our ED and wellness coordinator do daily rounds to ensure they notice changes of conditions as well as daily accountability to our team to ensure quality of care. We also have “House Supervisors” who are the front-line, hands-on leaders in each house that ensure their residents are cared for like a family member.

Transitioning into the Community

We have a very detailed after move in process/checklist that engages all of our leadership team to meet and learn more about the new resident. We learn their likes, dislikes and look for possible personality matches to make introductions with other residents so they can chat, enjoy meals together and even attend activities with each other.

Transportation Services

We do have scheduled outing for our residents, last month we went shopping 3 times and also went to the Cotton Patch for an afternoon. If they need personal transportation, there is a $40 roundtrip charge and it has to be scheduled far enough ahead to not interrupt our scheduled outings.

Dining Experience

Our meals are prepared in house from local purchased food. We work on a 5-week meal cycle that is approved by our 3rd party dietician to ensure we are providing the nutrients that our senior population requires. We also have an “Always Available” menu that our residents have access to all the time. (Even a midnight snack) Fresh fruits are always available and pastries are made fresh, in house every day but go very quickly.

Resident Complaints and Issues

The first step is to bring up your concern to the house supervisor and if it is not addressed in a manner that meets your needs, you set a meeting with our Wellness Coordinator (LVN) for a plan to improve and your still not content with the planning and execution you reach out to our Executive Director (RN) for your next meeting. Most resolution is going to be done well before the ED gets involved but she also does rounds so she will be involved early and let her team work to meet your needs.

Communication with Resident's Families

We communicate with loved ones as needed, of course we comply with POA’s wishes on who get specific information as well as staying HIPA Compliant. How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being? By the families preferred method. (Calls, meetings, texts or emails)
