Could you provide an overview on the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?
We have Resident associates & Medication Technicians on staff. They go through in-house training in addition to state-required training once hired for the role. The Med-Techs go through more extensive training, education, and testing to learn proper medication administration.
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?
All residents in the community are monitored routinely by staff. They also have pendants so staff can provide additional assistance as needed with a press of a button.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents’ transition into the community?
We offer a plethora of activities to help residents become more acclimated to the new environment/home; in addition to having a resident ambassador that helps the new resident navigate the community upon arrival.
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
We have restaurant-style Dining. We have a main entrée and always available. Chef Larry has led the team here for 24 years. Our food is very good.
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?
Residents are free to share all concerns with staff in the community who then relay it to the appropriate management member. If it involves staff they can always come and see the Health care Director or Executive Director during business hours. They can also be reached via email.
What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
If a resident has a change in condition, or any incidents occur the med-techs or Health and Wellness will call and/or email you to notify of any changes. If you want more frequent updates you are allowed to call at any time and inquire.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
We do not offer short term respite stays. We are normally full. Today we have 3 apartments available: 2 Studios and an Alcove.
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
Yes, we accept cats & dogs. There is a 35lb limit on dogs.
Do you guys currently have a waitlist?
We have 3 apartments available.
Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?
Yes, we offer Flu, Pneumonia, and COVID vaccine clinics annually.
Are residents able to age in place?
It is dependent on the situation & function of the resident, but in most cases we have been able to successfully help a majority of our residents age in place.
