Our Team and Training
We have Personal Care Aids, Certified Nursing Assistants, Med Tech’s and LPN’s. In accordance with Virginia State Law, every team member must undergo monthly trainings. We also have monthly meetings and on-the-spot training when needed.
Safety Measures
We are also required to have monthly fire drills and elopement drills. Our residents have call bells in their apartments, pendants, and wander guards, if needed.
Making Residents Feel at Home
Every staff member is responsible for making a new resident feel at home. However, Emma, our activities director, goes above and beyond to get new residents involved and invested in the community.
Dining Experience
We offer restaurant-style dining. Lunch and dinner feature 2 different entrées to choose from. We also have an always available menu that offers items like sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, burgers, soups, and more.
Resident Concerns and Suggestions
If a resident has an issue, they are more than welcome to bring it to a manager’s attention anytime. Emma hosts a resident council monthly, and we have a suggestion box that they can use.
Cost of Living
The cost of living in our community consists of 3 items: rent, level of care, and medication management. Rent can range from $3400 to $7600, depending on the apartment. Level of Care can be as low as 0 and up to $2400, determined by an assessment by the nurse before move-in and periodically throughout the resident's stay. Med management is either $500 or $750.
Family Communication
We are very responsive to families. You can reach out to the community or, if needed, the community will call you. You will have our cell number and email addresses also.
Respite Stays
We do offer respite stays for a 30-day minimum. The cost varies by apartment. Not always, but usually, it is less expensive to sign a regular lease and give a 30-day notice once they move in by utilizing incentives that we can offer.
Pet Friendly
We are very pet friendly!
Availability
We do not have a waitlist right now.
Health Clinics
We offer a flu clinic every year and can take residents out to get the COVID shots.
End of Life Care
It is very important to us to let our residents stay in the community, their home, until they pass. The State of Virginia does have some limits on who we are allowed to care for and how long, but by teaming with a hospice company, we typically can see them through.
