This detailed information was received through an email from the Sr. Lifestyle Counselor at Morada Quintessence via email on 2024-07-30.

Care Team and Training

At Quintessence, we hire caregivers with a CNA background. Our care team is required to pass a rigorous background screening, fingerprint background check, and they must complete 16 hours of on-the-floor training before they are hired as a full-time employee. All staff must complete monthly Relias training as well.

Resident Safety and Monitoring

Our residents have room checks every 2 hours, day and night. Each room is equipped with emergency buttons and pull strings, and each resident is given a call pendant to wear so we can assist them at any location on our property.

The community locks its doors from 5pm - 8:30am daily, with code access given only to family members. We also reassess our residents every few months to ensure their care plan provides the best care for each resident. Upon admission, residents receive a Care Plan overview with our Health & Wellness Director as well as the Care Leads.

Resident Ambassador Program

Quintessence also has a wonderful Resident Ambassador program. The REP is a resident-led program that allows new residents the opportunity to ask current residents questions and provides the encouragement to stay engaged and socialize during this transitionary period.

Dining and Transportation

Dining is restaurant style with multiple menu options for each meal, and an alternative menu for residents who are looking for a simple meal. We offer transportation on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We ask residents and families to book their transportation requests at least 48 hours prior to their appointments.

Family and Resident Communication

Families have an open-door policy for their loved ones. Any changes to the resident's care plan, if we notice a decline in any area of the resident, or if the resident is starting to isolate, the family is notified immediately. Any questions or concerns should always be brought to the management or care teams' attention immediately. We strive to provide the best customer care to our residents and families.

Pet Policy and Accommodation

We are pet-friendly, as long as the resident can care for the pet. We do currently have a waitlist for our Large Studios, One Bedroom, and Two Bedroom apartments.

Health and Safety

Flu vaccinations are free for all residents and staff every October. We do work with our local Walgreens on Covid boosters if a resident is interested. Residents are able to age in place as long as their mental cognition does NOT require memory care. If a resident is showing signs of wandering, if they are no longer able to feed themselves, or are in late-stage dementia, we require the resident to relocate to Memory Care. Their safety is our top priority.
