Assistance with medication administration

• Home cooked meals, accommodation for therapeutic diets.
• Transportation to medical appointments

Introduction

We are an assisted living home so things may be a bit different than what you might think.

Staff and Training

We employee aids to assist our residents with their needs, they go through an orientation and take a few online training sessions. They do 4-5 shadow shifts with senior staff.

Safety Measures

As far as safety goes, we have video cameras in the common areas of our community. We have pull chain and neck pendants for the residents to call staff if they need anything.

Community Outings

We provide community outings, I am not sure what you mean by “transition into the community”?

Transportation Services

We offer transportation to residents to and from their appointments within a 20 mile radius of us, to and from our scheduled activities.

Dining

For dining, we have a lovely dining room where everyone goes for meals together.

Grievance Process

We have a full grievance process for any complaints.

Family Inclusion

Families are welcome at Millview anytime. We are only a phone call or email away should family not be present. We have great communication with our families.

Respite Care

We do offer respite, 2 weeks or more at $175 per day. I believe this is listed on the monthly rate sheet I emailed.

Pet Policy

We do allow 1 cat, no dogs.

Waitlist

We do not currently have a waitlist.

Vaccinations

The residents would go to their Primary Care Doctors to get their Flu and covid vaccinations.

Aging in Place

As far as “aging in place” assisted living is just that assisted, we do not perform total care for people. There is specific criteria to remain in assisted living, if they don’t meet that criteria they would have to move on to somewhere that is able to provide more hands on care than we do.

We are a small 55 person community. With being so small, we are able to provide a warm family atmosphere, meaningful activities, home cooked meals, community outings, and religious services.
