Overview of Professional Staff and Training

Our staff encompasses a wide range of professionals across various departments including Dining, Maintenance, Care and Memory Care, Housekeeping, Activities/Transportation, Bookkeeping, Sales, and General Management. Each team member undergoes thorough onboarding and continuous training in compliance with California state regulations and Merrill Gardens' standard training requirements.

Safety and Well-being Measures

The safety and well-being of our residents is our top priority. We implement background checks for all new team members, maintain a daily check-in system for residents, and have numerous emergency preparedness measures in place. For more detailed information, we are available for discussions via phone or Zoom.

Transition Support Services

We are dedicated to ensuring new residents not only transition smoothly into our community but also feel like part of the Merrill Family. Our Welcome Home program involves one-on-one meetings between new residents and Department heads. Additionally, our resident ambassadors offer peer-to-peer guidance to help newcomers adjust.

Transportation Services

We provide scheduled transportation services for shopping, banking, church visits, doctor's appointments, and more on designated days and times.

Dining Experience

Our Anytime Dining program allows residents to enjoy meals at their convenience from 7am to 7pm, featuring daily specials, an "always available" menu, and a variety of choices to cater to everyone's taste.

Addressing Complaints and Issues

Residents can directly approach our General Manager or the relevant department head for specific complaints. For unresolved issues, a 1-800 number is available to contact our home office.

Cost of Living

Monthly apartment rates start at $5750, with Assisted Living costs beginning at $660 per month, plus a one-time Community Fee of $5500. Further pricing details are available upon request.

Communication with Residents' Families

Our General Managers maintain an open-door policy for family members to discuss their loved ones' well-being, with proactive communication from our team regarding any significant changes or incidents.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Currently, we do not offer apartments designated for respite stays in our community.

Pet-Friendly Community

Yes, we are a pet-friendly community, with a monthly pet fee of $70 per pet.

Waitlist Information

We have a limited number of apartments immediately available in both our Independent Living/Assisted Living and Memory Care sections.

Vaccination Clinics

We offer annual vaccine clinics in the fall for Covid and flu vaccinations.

Aging in Place

Residents can age in place as long as their care needs are within state regulations and our operating guidelines for Assisted Living or Memory Care. For care needs beyond our scope, we assist in identifying resources for a higher level of care.
