Community Details
This detailed information was received through an email from the Regional Director of Sales at Meadowbrook Memory Care Community via email on 2024-09-28.
Overview of Staff and Training
We have an experienced Director Team, including our Executive Director, Director of Resident Services, Activity Director, Culinary Director, Physical Plant Director, and our new Director of Community Relations. All of our Directors and staff go through memory care training during their orientation and continuous training provided monthly and as needed.Safety and Well-being Measures
We have a nurse in the community 24/7, along with our caregivers who do rounds 24/7. We have a motion sensor in the ceiling of all suites that can detect movement of the resident in their bed and/or getting up, which alerts the nurse on duty, who will send a caregiver down to the room. In addition, all of our suites have a pull-cord alert near their bed and bathroom. We also have these pull-cords in the public bathrooms and public areas.Support Services for Transition
Yes, all our staff members have dementia training in their orientation and continuing staff meetings. All Departments are involved with helping a new resident’s transition. Also, we are starting up a Support Group in November 2024 to aid family members and prospects with their loved one’s transition.Transportation Services
Yes, we offer medical transportation for our residents with specific time windows for medical appointments and escort charges.Dining Experience
We serve our residents in the dining room at 8am, noon, and 5pm. We serve everyone the same meal unless they don't like it or are allergic to it. We have an alternative menu if these situations arise. Our meals are described as healthy comfort.Communication with Families
We have an open-door policy with our families beginning with our Executive Director, Ruth Cherop, by walk-in, phone, text, or email. In terms of staying connected with families about their loved one's well-being, we have a licensed nurse in the community 24/7 and our Director of Resident Services, Bobbie Headley, is in the community Monday through Friday. We will call you if needed and families can call at any time to talk to the nurse on duty.Complaint Resolution Process
You would first take a complaint or an issue to our Executive Director. If it cannot be addressed at the Community Level, then it would go to the Regional level and then to the home office if it cannot be resolved.Short-term and Respite Stays
Meadowbrook offers both Day Stay and Respite Stay. There is a one-time $500 set-up fee which covers both and can be used as a $500 credit on the Community Fee if your loved one moves into Meadowbrook. Day Stay is $35 an hour for the first 14 hours, and then is charged by respite rates. See Respite Daily Rates below:- Level 1: $205
- Level 2: $225
- Level 3: $250
- Level 4: $270
Pet-friendly Policy
We love dogs to visit if they have all their shots. Our residents cannot take care of their pets themselves, so we need to do it for them. The fee for us to take care of their pet is $1000 the first month and $750 per month thereafter.Waitlist Status
No, there is no waitlist currently.Vaccination Availability
Yes, residents are able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community.Aging in Place
