Types of Professionals and Their Training

Our Assisted Livings are both CBRF certified. All staff members undergo certification in Fire Safety, Infection Control, and First Aid. We also strive to enroll them in CNA classes for continued education. Those assigned to pass medications must complete a Medication Management class. Additionally, all staff members receive mandatory training throughout the year. We have an LPN available Monday through Friday and on-call during weekends. Our Administrator holds a License in Nursing Home Administration, has a Health Care Administration degree, and participates in ongoing training. Our activity staff has a background in recreation therapy, with many having prior CNA experience, and have been in their roles for many years. We also have access to a Social Worker if needed. One of the benefits of being part of our community is the ability to access resources as required to best serve our residents.

Measures for Residents' Safety and Well-Being

Our Assisted Living buildings have monitored door systems, which include camera systems at all access points to watch who enters and exits the building. The doors are also equipped with wonder management systems if necessary. We assess our residents for risk factors and work with them and their families to implement preventative measures.

Support Services for Residents' Transition

When residents need to transition to different levels of care, our staff is here to support them and their families. The support provided depends on the situation and specific needs.

Transportation Services

We have a van available for transportation to medical appointments at an additional cost.

Dining Experience

Our dining services are managed by New Horizons, which oversees our public restaurants (The Bistro and Crave) as well as the food in our health care entities. Breakfast is prepared at each location, while lunch and dinner are made in a central kitchen and brought to each campus location. There is also an always-available menu for residents who do not prefer the daily offerings. We encourage residents to come to the dining room for meals as it provides the best experience.

Process for Addressing Complaints

If you have a complaint or grievance, we encourage you to voice it. We prefer to address issues in real-time to avoid frustration. Initially, you should communicate with the nurse; if the issue is not resolved, you can always access our Executive Director, who will be happy to listen and follow up on any issues.

Cost of Living

Assisted living costs range from $7,340 to $9,990, based on the level of care and the choice between Park Ridge or Park Terrace.

Policy on Communication with Families

Communication is customized based on the resident's or activated POA's preferences. We typically update families about falls, changes in condition, medication changes, etc. We also conduct family meetings every six months to review and update the care plan as needed.

Short-Term or Respite Stays

We do offer respite stays. The cost is based on the length of stay and the accommodation selected.

Pet Policy

We are pet-friendly for visits, but no pets are permitted to live in the Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing Home.

Current Waitlist Status

Currently, there is no waitlist, but Park Terrace has only 1 bed that is not yet spoken for.

Covid and Flu Vaccinations

Yes, residents are able to receive Covid and flu vaccinations in the community.

Aging in Place

We strive to enable residents to age in place to the best of our ability. If a resident requires more care than we can provide, we discuss the possibility of staying in place with hospice support or transitioning to the next level of care. We aim to ensure the best interest of the resident and will have open discussions when necessary.
