Overview on Staff Professionals and Their Training
At the top we have our executive director who has been in the industry for 10+ years with all his certifications, and the director of our wellness department is our nurse. In addition to that, we always have caregivers and med techs on site to assist with day-to-day care for the residents. The caregivers and med techs are licensed through the state, which includes classes, hands-on learning, and passing a test. They also have state and federal background checks. The med techs have additional training on medication management and disbursement. The state also requires monthly trainings to stay up to date.Ensuring Safety and Well-Being of Residents
As noted, we have our caregivers and med techs on-site 24/7 to help residents with their activities of daily living and whatever assistance they may need. Each resident in our assisted living is equipped with a pendant to alert staff if they have a need of any kind. Our nurse is available by phone 24/7 in case any serious needs arise.Resources and Support Services for Transition
We work with a number of resources and will happily connect you with the people that would be helpful for your situation. Outside resources are welcome to come into our community as well, such as hospice, home health, podiatry, etc. We also have a welcoming committee of residents who will work with the new residents to help ensure they have community and contacts to make the transition easier.Transportation Services
We do have a bus for transportation. Typically, Mondays are for outings to the stores for residents, like Walmart, Walgreens, etc. Tuesday and Thursday are for transportation to and from doctor appointments. Wednesdays and Fridays are typically reserved for outing opportunities for the residents.Dining Experience
Our dining is run by our head chef who has 20+ years of experience in the cooking industry. We have restaurant-style dining where residents sit and our staff will wait on them and take their orders. We have daily specials that rotate, as well as a menu that is always available, like salads, sandwiches, burgers, etc. Breakfast is also served all day. The dining room is open from 7:30am – 7pm daily with no specific dining hours. Residents can come eat at any time during those hours.Handling Complaints or Issues
We have a couple of ways to handle this. If it is an urgent matter, we request that residents connect with someone on the management team so that we can expedite the process and ensure that we help the resident. If it is something more general, we have monthly meetings at our community to go over activities, food, and general life at the community. Residents are encouraged to join and voice their opinions so we can ensure that residents are getting the care that they need and desire.Cost of Living
The cost of living depends on a lot of factors – whether it is memory care or assisted living, what room the resident selects and how much care the resident needs. Included with the room, you get 3 square meals per day, cable, wifi, utilities, activities, and light housekeeping.Communication with Residents' Families
We have an open phone/open door policy. Families are encouraged to reach out to the appropriate manager with any questions. As far as from our end, we will communicate with families for any emergencies, questions, or needed follow-ups. If there is nothing urgent or challenging going on, we would not necessarily be reaching out.Short-Term or Respite Stays
We do have respite stays which are $250/day for assisted living and $300/day for memory care.Pet-Friendly Policy
We are pet friendly. Residents can have pets if they are properly vaccinated and if they can take care of the animals completely on their own. Our staff will not be providing animal assistance. Families and friends are able to bring pets to visit as well.Availability and Waitlist
I have availability on both memory care and assisted living, but not for every room type. Some rooms do not have availability at this time.Vaccination Availability
Yes, we do yearly vaccination offerings for those that want it.Aging in Place
Yes, residents are able to age in place. Having both assisted living and memory care, and the options for outside providers to visit, like hospice and home health, residents are able to age in place. There are very few reasons as to why a resident wouldn’t be able to stay the duration of their lives. For pricing & availability call (866) 204-9238
