Community Details
This detailed information was received through an email from the Director of Community Relations at Magnolia Springs Bridgewater via email on 2024-01-11.
Overview of Staff and Training
We employ primarily Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aids. Our caregivers go through online educational programs through our corporate office, they also receive education in-person each month – various topics are covered. We have a nurse as well, she’s been in senior living 25+ years and was a Navy nurse for 12+ yrs.
Safety and Well-being Measures
Our building is well secured. The front door remains open from 8a to 8p daily. We have a concierge at the front desk seven days a week during those “open door” times. After that time, a key card is required to enter the building, we also have a Ring doorbell for after-hours. All side doors require a key card to enter, 24/7. All visitors are required to check in at the kiosk – director staff is notified of those coming through after-hours. Staff is here 24/7. There are abundant cameras inside and out. We’ve never had a problem.
Resources for New Residents
Yes. We pair new residents up with current residents – to learn “the lay of the land”. Staff is excellent at knocking on doors, helping you understand routines and schedules – meals, activities, etc. It’s a lot to learn and we’re all here to help you. We also partner with Odyssey Mental Health – they specialize in the transition to senior living – they come to you here at Magnolia.
Transportation Services
Yes, we provide transportation seven days a week. There is a schedule – for example, Tuesday/Thursday is appointment day – we just need a 24 hour notice and have a 10-mile radius.
Dining Experience
We offer restaurant – style dining. All three meals. Our Dining Room is bright and spacious. You sit with whom you’d like. There are four specials offered (two for lunch-two for dinner) as well as an always available selection – you’ll have 12-15 choices each day. Breakfast is available for every meal, if desired. The majority of our food items are made from scratch. Our Chef sponsors a food committee – they meet monthly. We’re also starting to offer brunch on Sundays. We also have a grab and go style Bistro that is open 24/7 and included in your base rate.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
Our doors are always open. You will know the management team. Our Executive Director is extremely hands on – the whole team is. If you have a problem, you come to one of us. We will solve it or find someone who can. If it is an issue of a more serious nature – we care a process that begins with a “Concern Form”, this then is shared with our Executive Director, she addresses the issue directly with all involved and/or includes our regional management team if necessary – everyone works together for resolution.
Cost of Living
I’ve attached a pricing sheet for your review.
Communication with Resident's Families
We have appropriate and open communication with resident’s families – we ask that one individual be the primary contact. They too will know all of us. If something occurs, they will know. If /when a level of care changes, you and your family will know. If there are certain members of your family you’d prefer not be contacted, we respect this.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We are a high occupancy community – when we’re able, we do offer Retreat stays on our assisted living neighborhood. If we have availability – it’s a 30-day minimum at $145 a day + level of care.
Pet-Friendly Community
Yes. You are welcome to bring your furry friend – there’s a one time Pet of $750.
Covid and Flu Vaccinations
Yes. We have clinics each fall for both.
Aging in Place
A majority of our residents stay with us through the end of their lives. We work with hospice, private duty, families, and home health to make it so. Of course, there are times it is just no longer safe or sensible for the individual to remain at Magnolia. We assist in skilled nursing placement.
I hope this is all helpful. Please reach out with any further questions you may have, and/or would like to come for a visit. I have very limited availability.
