Do you guys currently have a waitlist?
We currently have availability.
Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?
We have LPNs, Med Techs, and caregivers on staff. All of our staff receive extensive and continual training on Alzheimer's and dementia care, resident assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing and showering, fire safety, safe transfers, CPR, and so much more. We additionally have 3rd party doctors, PT, OT, and speech therapists come in as needed.
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?
We have staff on-site 24/7 should your loved one need anything, we are here to help. Additionally, we have an emergency response system which is essentially a button that should be worn at all times for emergencies. Once the button is pressed, it alerts our staff that something is needed. Think of life alert except this calls in house staff rather than 911.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
We are here to help with the transition. Staff is very involved with reminding residents of mealtimes and activities going on in the community. Each manager also checks in with resident upon arrival to see how things are going and what is needed. If additional assistance is needed, then we would recommend getting a one-on-one caregiver to additionally help with the transition. 9 times out of 10 this is not needed.
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
We provide transportation to doctors' appointments within a 10-mile radius. We also travel weekly to different locations such as Target, Walmart, or the dollar store for necessities.
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
The dining room works just like a restaurant. You would come to the dining room and have a seat at your table. The servers come around and offer you the beverage of your choice and meal of your choice. There are 2 different meals to choose from but if you did not like the offerings of that day, there is a menu called "always available". This has things such as a grilled cheese or hotdog.
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?
The Executive Director's door is always open for families/residents to address their concerns.
What is the cost of living in your community?
Our rates begin at $4,295.00 depending on the chosen floor plan.
What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
We send out monthly newsletters informing families of upcoming events within the community. As resident needs change/increase, the Wellness Director will be in contact with the family to inform them of the changes and what would be needed. If the family ever has questions or concerns regarding care, the Wellness Director would be the point of contact.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
We do not offer respite stays. Our agreement is month to month. If you moved in and did not like it or choose to move to another location, you would just have to give us a written 30 days notice.
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
We are! Residents are able to have pets as long as they can properly care for the pet independently. If the resident can no longer properly care for the pet, we would request the family take over the pet.
Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?
Yes, we have a flu/covid clinic yearly where the pharmacy comes to the community to provide the vaccinations.
Are residents able to age in place?
Yes! We have Assisted Living and Memory Care. As the needs progress, we can continue to provide the needed care and transition over to Memory care when the time is needed. We also have a license called LNS, which allows us to provide a higher level of care for longer than a standard license. We currently have availability.
