Overview of Staff Types and Training

Our team includes Registered Nurses (RN’s), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN’s), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s), and Medication Technicians. Each staff member undergoes rigorous and ongoing training at our facility to ensure the highest level of care for our residents.

Safety and Well-being Measures

We have emergency call lights in the bathrooms as well as personal emergency pendants for residents. To ensure we know the whereabouts of our residents, they are required to sign in and out whenever they leave the property.

Transition Support Services

Our Activities Team assists with acclimating new residents to the community and helps them meet existing residents. They often try to find a partner to help the new resident feel more integrated.

Transportation Services

We offer transportation services with at least 48 hours notice. Transportation within a 5-mile radius is free, with charges applicable beyond that distance. We also organize weekly shopping outings and have physicians such as primary care, dermatologists, podiatrists, and cardiologists who round at our facility.

Dining Experience

With our recent renovation, we have transitioned to restaurant-style dining. Residents receive a menu and their order is taken at the table and prepared to order. This service is available for all three meals each day.

Complaint and Issue Resolution

We recommend residents address concerns with the Director of Nursing (DON), a Nurse, or the Executive Director based on the nature of the issue. We also have a grievance form for formal complaints.

Policy on Communication with Resident's Families

During the admission process, residents appoint a responsible party and provide copies of Power of Attorney (POA) and Health Care Surrogate documents. We ensure the appointed individual is kept informed of any significant changes in the resident's condition, with the resident's consent. The designated person is free to call and ask questions anytime.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We will eventually be offering respite stays. The cost details are yet to be determined.

Pet Policy

We are not currently a pet-friendly community. However, service dogs are considered depending on their size and the resident's ability to care for them.

Covid and Flu Vaccinations

Yes, residents are able to receive COVID-19 and flu vaccinations within the community.

Aging in Place

Residents are able to age in place, courtesy of our Extended Congregate Care (ECC) licensure. We also have a Memory Care unit available, which currently has availability.
