Each Therapy Unit is 15 minutes.

Each professional undergoes rigorous training tailored to their specific roles to ensure they provide the highest standard of care.

Measures for Resident Safety and Well-being

Ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents is paramount. We do not use restraints of any kind and currently cannot provide sitters. For fall-risk residents, we utilize floor mats and maintain beds at the lowest position, with such residents placed close to the nurse's station. For those with cognitive barriers, we have a Wanderguard system for the front door. Residents are free to move within the rehab and activities areas of the facility. We do not have locked or memory care units.

Resources and Support Services for Transition

We aid residents' transition into the community by appointing a social worker to assist with support services and community waivers. Additionally, we collaborate with a psychiatric team if necessary. Our activities department plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition, despite it being a challenging process.

Transportation Services

We partner with vendors for transportation services, with their pricing at their discretion. Our unit secretaries can assist in scheduling appointments and setting up transportation as needed.

Dining Experience

Residents have the option to dine in community dining rooms or in their rooms, based on their preference. Aides are available to assist with feeding if required.

Addressing Complaints or Issues

We have a compliance hotline that allows for anonymous reporting of concerns. Residents can also speak directly with unit managers and the Director of Nursing to address any issues.

Communication with Residents' Families

Families are promptly notified of any changes in their loved one's condition. Scheduled care plan meetings with social workers, therapy, and nursing staff review resident progress. Families can request updates at any time, and while we prioritize current residents, we strive to provide timely information.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We do not offer respite stays at our facility. However, our sister facility, Lorien Harmony Hall located nearby, does offer respite care, although we do not have information on their pricing.

Pet-friendly Community

We are a pet-friendly community. Residents can bring their pets, provided they present vaccination records.

Covid and Flu Vaccinations

Residents can receive Covid and flu vaccinations at our bi-annual vaccination clinics, which are conducted by Giant Pharmacy.

Aging in Place

Our facility is designed to support residents as they age, providing the necessary care and services to accommodate their evolving needs.
