Overview of Staff and Training

Our facility is staffed by a manager, environmental services, and building services professionals. Each of these individuals reports to their respective supervisors within the community. Safety training is provided for all staff members. The manager holds a degree in social work.

Measures for Safety and Well-being

We prioritize the safety and well-being of our residents through several measures, including hallway cameras, secure entrances, and a front desk staffed from 8 am to 8 pm. Residents are responsible for their own personal choices regarding safety.

Transition Support Services

We do not offer assistance with moving into the community, selling homes, or similar services for new residents.

Transportation Services

We provide transportation to grocery stores. However, residents are responsible for arranging their own transportation for medical appointments.

Dining Experience

While we do not have a dining room, we offer a meal delivery service to residents' apartments. Meals are available Monday through Friday and are prepared by Friendly Home.

Complaint Resolution Process

Residents can address complaints or issues by walking into the office or speaking directly with the VP of housing at any time.

Cost of Living

The current rent is $1148.00 per month, which includes electricity, heat, water, cable, and internet services.

Communication with Residents' Families

Communication with residents' families is adapted to the residents' preferred style. We contact families as needed, but also respect residents' wishes if they prefer no family involvement.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We do not offer short-term or respite care options.

Pet Policy

Pets are not allowed in our building. However, service animals are accepted as long as they do not interfere with daily operations at Linden Knoll.

Vaccination Availability

We collaborate with Wegmans on Monroe Avenue to offer vaccination clinics for residents who wish to participate, including Covid and flu vaccinations.

Aging in Place

Residents are allowed to age in place and may bring in external support for daily needs and cleaning. We do not employ nursing or aide staff in this independent living setting. There is currently a waitlist of about six months.
