Overview of Our Staff and Their Training
The types of professionals on our staff range from 1 LVN who is here Mon-Fri and about 3 miles away from the community on call. She has been with our community for 19 years going on 20. Aside from her, we also have caregivers and MedTechs around the clock. ALL our staff, from the concierge to the cooks, floor staff, and I, go through monthly training through a program called Relias. We have 40hrs mandated initial training and every month we have reoccurring training, including monthly in-services with our careline staff. We also have four doctors who come to our community on a monthly basis (Dr. Gordon, Dr. Lefferman, Dr. Schleifer, & Dr. Oleg) and who send their nurse practitioners in interim to check on their residents. We also have various specialists such as our psychiatrist Dr. Isidro, a podiatrist, mobile dentistry, optometrist, wound doctor, and ENT who visit our community regularly.Measures to Ensure Residents' Safety and Well-being
We do frequent status checks and encourage our residents to participate in activities to ensure their safety and avoid unwitnessed falls in their bedrooms. Any concerns are addressed with our Generations program director (memory care), Resident Care Director, and Executive Director to come up with an appropriate care plan for the resident's safety. We also provide Pendants for immediate needs if the resident is capable of using them.Resources and Support for Residents' Transition
We offer resources for families from Patriot Angels who help apply for aid and attendance if qualified. Within the community, we help smooth the transition by getting to know our residents and their hobbies before entering. We have a welcoming committee consisting of the caregiver, med tech, activities director, and a few residents to help them feel welcomed. Additionally, we schedule a welcoming party where you can invite family and friends.Transportation Services
We offer transportation services to our residents. The first 12 miles are covered within the monthly cost, but there is a small fee per mile beyond that.Dining Experience
Our dining experience starts at 7:30 for breakfast, 12:30 for lunch, and 4:30 for dinner. We accommodate late risers by saving their meals for them. If residents do not like the daily menu, we offer an anytime menu from which they can choose.Resident Complaints or Issues
Residents can go directly to the ED to address concerns. If the matter isn't being handled, they can contact the ombudsman or licensing, whose contact information is posted in multiple areas within our community. The ED also holds a monthly meeting with residents to address any concerns or suggestions.Cost of Living
Our assisted living private studio starts at $4,445, and the larger size is $4,695. Shared studios start at $3,625, and the larger size is $3,875.Communication with Families
Communication with residents' families can be customized. We offer daily or weekly updates as needed. We also send out monthly newsletters, hold monthly family events, and provide an app called InTouch for activity schedules, meals, and photos.Short-term or Respite Stays
We offer a 2-week minimum respite stay that ranges from $250-$300 daily, depending on assessment.Pet-Friendly Policy
We are a pet-friendly community and encourage you to bring your pets. If a resident plans to move in with an animal, there is a one-time fee of $500.Waitlist Status
We currently have a waitlist, but it frequently changes. If we are your community of choice, you can call us to check your status.Vaccination Clinics
Yes, residents can receive Covid and flu vaccinations in the community. We send out an email when clinics will be available.Aging in Place
Absolutely, we connect you with palliative care, home health, or hospice agencies as needed, allowing you to use any company of your choice.Thank you for your questions!
