All the above prices include 2 meals per day, housekeeping once a week, all utilities including TV and internet (No phone service), access to AJ’s Fitness, and any activities we do.

Overview of Staff and Training

Our facility is staffed with a variety of professionals to cater to the needs of our residents. In the independent living building, we have housekeepers, dietary staff, and front desk staff. Our other buildings are staffed with Certified Nursing Assistants (CANs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide a higher level of care.

Safety and Well-being Measures

To ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, our building is staffed 24/7. We conduct checks on tenants who do not appear for meals without prior notification. Although we do not have call lights due to the nature of independent living, we are vigilant in maintaining resident safety.

Transition Support Services

While my building does not offer specific transition services, Manor Court provides Social Services to aid residents in adjusting to community life.

Transportation Services

We offer the Liberty Bus for weekly grocery store trips and organize special outings, including dining out, holiday decoration tours, and park visits for music events.

Dining Experience

Our dining service includes lunch and supper served daily at designated times. Meals are buffet style, offering a variety of entrees, sides, and vegetables, along with a salad bar and soup. Dietary staff assist with serving and clean-up.

Addressing Complaints and Issues

Residents can directly approach me with complaints or use a suggestion box for anonymity. For serious concerns, we have an administrator on campus to address the issues.

Communication with Residents' Families

In cases of emergencies, illnesses, or if emergency services are called, we promptly contact the resident's family to keep them informed.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We offer respite stays for individuals qualifying for independent living at the same cost as rent. Our nursing home accommodates respite stays for those requiring more care.

Pet-Friendly Community

Pets are welcome in the independent living building. However, pets are not allowed in the Hawthorne Inn (Assisted Living) or Manor Court (Skilled Care).

Covid and Flu Vaccinations

Residents can receive Covid and flu vaccinations within the community during our scheduled clinics.

Aging in Place

Our campus supports aging in place, offering a continuum of care from independent living to skilled, long-term care.
