Waitlist Availability
We currently have availability in Personal Care and Memory Care. If someone is interested, there is a waitlist option. This is for someone who may not quite be ready for the move but wants to be made aware of availability.
Professional Staff and Training
Our Residence Director, Wellness Director, and Assistant Wellness Director are nurses. We have CNAs, LPNs, med techs, and caregivers. Legend takes great pride in having our staff trained above and beyond state regulations. Staff working in our memory care neighborhood are trained additionally on how to provide care and respond to residents with dementia. Our staff is 100% Legend staff, no agency staff.
Safety and Well-being Measures
Residents each have pendants that they wear, and pull cords are in each apartment for residents to use to notify staff if they need assistance. Each resident also has an individualized care plan specific to their needs. Staff communicates consistently to ensure specific needs of our residents are being taken care of. The front desk is staffed from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. When the desk is not staffed from 8:00 pm through 8:00 am, the front door locks. There is a push button that notifies staff if there is a visitor or a resident is returning.
Transition Support Services
Our team understands how difficult emotionally a move like this is. Our team is aware of new residents moving in to be sure to assist with the transition period. We also offer companion services which is additional support that can ease the transition period.
Transportation Services
We do offer transportation to and from physician appointments- we request that those appointments be made on Tuesdays and Thursdays so that the bus can be used for resident outings such as shopping and lunches on other days.
Dining Experience
Legend offers a Gold Leaf Dining experience. Each meal time offers two savory entrées, including a healthy choice. We also offer a Café Select menu which is an alternative list of options which include things like a grilled chicken salad, cheeseburger, tuna salad on croissant, etc.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
We ask that families/residents speak directly to the Manager that oversees the department that needs to be addressed. If a caregiving issue, we would direct you to our Wellness Director, if a housekeeping concern, we would direct you to our Maintenance Director. If you would need to speak to someone additionally, we would then direct you to our Residence Director.
Cost of Living
The costs vary depending on the size of the apartment and level of care that someone needs. The more care being provided, the higher level of care and the higher the cost.
Communication with Residents' Families
We do have scheduled care plan meetings with family members. We will also communicate as needed with family members to assure all needs are being met. We are able to communicate via email, phone call, or in-person.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We do offer respite stays. Pricing varies on the level of care needed and the length of the stay.
Pet-Friendly Community
We are a pet-friendly community.
Vaccination Services
We do provide flu vaccines.
Aging in Place
We offer multiple levels of care so that someone can age in place. However, there are times where residents age in place to a point where Personal Care is no longer a good fit for their needs, and a skilled nursing facility is as it can provide a higher level of care. This would be for someone who needs a lift for transfers, unable to feed themselves, someone who is bedbound, but not on hospice services, etc.
