Types of Care Offered

The senior living community offers three levels of care within its campus:

  • Assisted Living: This includes assistance with activities of daily living, medication management, three meals a day, and personal apartments. It is designed for residents who are mostly independent but may require one-on-one care.
  • Long-Term Care: This provides 24-hour nursing care for residents who require more acute care, such as tube feeding, IV therapy, or consistent turning and incontinence management.
  • Skilled Nursing (Rehab): This is for short-term stays, typically post-hospital stays, and includes rehabilitation services.

Availability

There is no waitlist for the assisted living facility, but there are no immediately available apartments as they are currently being remodeled or awaiting the removal of belongings. The expected availability is around the end of January or the first couple of weeks of February, depending on the apartment size.

Respite Care

Short-term respite care is available with advance notice to allow time for furnishing the room. A minimum stay is required.

Aging in Place

The goal is for residents to age in place in their apartments. However, if a resident's needs become too high, there is the option to transfer them to the long-term care facility within the same building. The community also partners with different hospice programs to support this goal.

Pet Policy

Pets are allowed under certain conditions, including spaying/neutering, up-to-date vaccinations, and an assessment of the pet's behavior. Residents must be able to care for their pets independently.

Moving Assistance

While the community does not have in-house movers, they can provide recommendations for moving companies that specialize in transitions to senior living facilities.

Transportation Services

Transportation is available for residents for medical appointments and outings, such as shopping trips and recreational activities. The service is shared within the company and requires advance scheduling.

Dining Services

Residents receive a weekly menu with two meal options for each mealtime. Set mealtimes are observed, but residents have kitchenettes in their apartments for additional food preparation. Standard meal options are available daily.

Staffing

The assisted living facility has one overseeing nurse for unlicensed staff, such as medication technicians and caregivers. A chef manages the kitchen and oversees food preparation. There are no doctors on staff for the assisted living facility.

Safety Features

Each apartment is equipped with call lights and residents are provided with pendants that have GPS tracking for on-site location identification.

Vaccination Clinics

The community occasionally holds clinics for vaccinations such as COVID-19 and flu, although there have been none in the recent six to seven months.

Handling Complaints

Residents can file grievances through a form, speak to staff members, resident care coordinators, or directly with the administrator.

Communication with Families

Direct communication with families is done via phone calls for individual matters. For broader communications, the platform LifeLoop is used.
