Overview of Professional Staff and Training
Our team comprises Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs), Q-Maps (trained in Medication Management), and Resident Assistants. All staff members have completed the necessary education for their specific roles and undergo continuous training. Most are also CPR certified.
Safety and Well-being Measures
The safety and well-being of our residents are our top priorities. We adhere to strict policies and procedures to ensure a secure environment.
Support Services for Residents' Transition
While we do not recommend outside sources for transition into our community, our staff, including the Life Enrichment team and our Director of Health and Wellness, Shalita, actively supports new residents in acclimating and integrating into our community.
Transportation Services
We offer transportation services on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and every other Monday within a 5-mile radius.
Dining Experience
Our dining service is table service, available in the Assisted Living dining room from 8-6 with an hour break in the afternoon. Menus are provided in the welcome packet.
Resident Complaints and Issues
Melissa, our Executive Director, is responsible for addressing all complaints and issues, ensuring they are handled thoroughly and fairly.
Communication with Residents' Families
Communication with families is maintained with those who have permission to receive information about the resident. A primary contact is usually established for updates on any issues or health concerns.
Short-term or Respite Stays
While our community is usually full, we occasionally offer respite stays with a 90-day minimum, requiring residents to furnish their own apartment.
Pet Policy
We are a pet-friendly community, with pets requiring approval by Melissa. Residents must be fully capable of caring for their pets independently.
Vaccination Clinics
Vaccination clinics for COVID and flu are held periodically on campus for residents.
Aging in Place
A significant majority (97%) of our residents age in place. For those requiring end-of-life care, hospice services are typically brought in. Residents needing constant nursing care are referred to a skilled nursing facility. Information on pricing for Independent and Assisted Living is available upon request, with waitlists for both but openings expected within the month.
