Overview of Staff and Training

Our facility employs a diverse team of medical professionals, including 1 medical doctor, 2 physician assistants, RNs, LPNs, medical technicians, CNAs, and nurse assistants. All of these professionals are trained and licensed at external institutions before beginning their roles at Katherine's Place. Nursing assistants have the unique opportunity to train onsite while attending CNA school.

Resident Safety and Well-being Measures

We adhere to state regulations and the office of long-term care guidelines to ensure the safety of our residents. Additionally, we conduct extra in-service training sessions for our staff. We also hold a daily meeting at 9:30 AM with all department supervisors to coordinate effective healthcare measures and address any potential issues.

Support Services for Community Transition

Our social worker is responsible for coordinating discharge planning and arranging necessary services ahead of time, such as home health services and durable medical equipment, to facilitate residents' transition into the community.

Transportation Services

We provide transportation services with two vans operating six days a week for our residents.

Dining Experience

Residents have the flexibility to enjoy their meals in different settings, such as the dining room, their private rooms, or even the courtyard. A weekly menu is posted, and alternative options are available if the main menu items are not preferred.

Handling Resident Complaints or Issues

We have a grievance system in place where residents or their families can officially file issues. Our social worker ensures follow-up with a phone call to the family. Careplan meetings are encouraged to resolve any concerns quickly.

Cost of Living

- Private room: $265.00 per day - Semi-private room: $235.00 per day Residents who qualify may apply for long-term care Medicaid to help cover costs.

Communication with Families

We keep families updated about their loved ones by notifying the emergency contact about any medication or condition changes.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We offer short-term or respite stays at the private rates mentioned above.

Pet-Friendly Policy

Our community is pet-friendly, allowing pets onsite if they are on a leash and up to date on vaccinations.

Residents can receive COVID and flu vaccinations onsite if we have written consent.
