Types of Professionals on Our Staff and Their Training
Our building includes an Executive Director and an Executive Associate Director who oversee the building and its processes. Our assisted living includes an Assisted Living Manager who is an LPN, and a full care staff who have their CNAs and medication aid certifications. Our nursing staff is overseen by an RN in our home office in Omaha as well as our Medical Director. We have routine continued education and competencies to ensure our staff stays current with their skills. For more details about our team, visit our website.
Measures to Ensure the Safety and Well-Being of Residents
Safety is a top priority for our community. Every resident is given a code alert necklace to use at any time to alert staff for assistance. We also prioritize frequent communication with families, ensuring they are kept informed about their loved ones' well-being.
Resources and Support Services for Transitioning Residents
As part of the move-in process, every resident has formal introductions and meetings with all managers (dining, housekeeping, nursing, wellness center, etc.). Our pastor conducts routine check-ins with residents during the move-in process and beyond. Additionally, independent residents are set up with a host, and this service is also extended to assisted living residents if they find it beneficial. Potential residents and their families are invited in for a meal or coffee with current residents to help them become familiar with our community before moving in.
Transportation Services
Yes, 10 rides are included in the monthly service fee.
Dining Experience
Assisted living residents are offered 3 meals a day served in the assisted living dining room, restaurant-style. They also have access to our other dining facilities, including our Bistro and Cast Iron Grille.
Process for Addressing Complaints or Issues
Residents have several options for bringing up grievances. They may submit to a comment/suggestion box, talk directly to the AL Manager, our Executive Director, dining managers, or any other staff member they feel comfortable with. As part of the move-in process, residents are given a directory of staff and their titles. We also hold monthly residents' meetings where concerns can be brought up. Hearing the voices of residents is essential to us and helps us provide the utmost care.
Policy on Communication with Residents' Families
We believe that families are an essential part of resident care. Our managers and Executive Director communicate with our assisted living residents’ families on an ongoing basis.
Short-Term or Respite Stays
We do not offer any respite options.
