Overview of Staff and Training
Our staff is composed of Nurses, Med Aids, and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Each member involved in patient care undergoes specific schooling to obtain certification or licensure. For example, Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) attend school for at least 2 years, while Registered Nurses (RNs) require 4 years of education. Med Aids and CNAs attend college or technical schools to get certified by the state of Texas. Additionally, floor staff must be CPR Certified and complete our Onboarding training, which covers safety measures and patient care refreshers.Safety and Well-being Measures
Ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents is our top priority. Before a resident is accepted for skilled services or long-term care, our clinical management team, including the Director of Nursing (RN) and Assistant Director of Nursing (LVN or RN), reviews the clinical information provided by the hospital or family. We assess our ability to meet the patient's needs. As per Texas state regulations, we cannot employ restraints like bed alarms, chemical restraints, or bed rails. For fall-risk patients, we implement interventions such as floor mats, positioning patients closer to the nurses' station, and lowering beds.Resources and Support Services
We have an onsite social worker to collaborate with families and residents, ensuring a safe discharge process. We evaluate whether patients, upon discharge, have a safe home environment and set up caregivers or home health services if needed. For those without Medicaid and unable to return home safely, we explore Long Term Care options, including applying for Nursing Home Medicaid.Transportation Services
We provide transportation services for both skilled patients needing short-term rehab and long-term care residents. These services cover appointments related to specialty care, such as cardiology, neurology, and orthopedics.Dining Experience
We offer three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Each meal is tailored to the resident's dietary needs, including texture and consistency preferences.Complaint and Issue Resolution
The administrative department, consisting of around 13 members, monitors room cleanliness and resident concerns daily. Any issues are addressed in our morning meeting at 8:45 am and solutions are provided to the residents. We also address family concerns by directing them to the appropriate department for resolution.Cost of Living
A semi-private room costs $200 a day for room and board, excluding medications and therapy. A private room costs $284 per day.Communication with Families
We provide families access to their loved one's chart, allowing them insight into medications and progress notes. Families are promptly informed in case of emergencies requiring the resident to be sent out.Short-term and Respite Stays
We accept respite patients, with hospice-covered stays. Non-hospice patients pay $200 daily for semi-private and $284 for private rooms. We also accommodate short-term stays with coverage from Medicare or Managed Care providers.Pet-Friendly Policy
We welcome pets with updated shot records and require them to be on a leash.Vaccination Availability
While exact information on Covid and flu vaccinations is unclear, we are open to discussing it further over the phone.Aging in Place
We do not have a waitlist for residents wishing to age in place. For pricing & availability call (866) 204-9238
