Availability and Pricing

Professional Staff and Training
Our care staff includes PSS, CNA, CRMA, and nurses, all of whom are certified and licensed. We support our staff in upgrading their training and certifications to ensure the highest quality of care.
Safety and Well-being Measures
While we are not a "secure" facility in the traditional sense of a dementia care unit, we have implemented several measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. Exterior doors are locked with keycode access, and both the main entry and elevator are equipped with a wander guard system. This system alerts staff if a resident at risk of elopement attempts to exit, allowing us to safely redirect them or accompany them outside for a walk.
Transition Support Services
We encourage families to stay engaged and involved in their loved one's care to help build trust. Our social engagement efforts focus on welcoming residents into daily activities, aiding their transition into the community.

Yes, we offer transportation services for our residents using accessible vehicles.
Dining Experience
Our dining experience emphasizes home-cooked meals prepared from scratch in our full kitchen. We offer a dietician-reviewed menu of options for each meal. Residents are encouraged to dine in the dining room for social connection, though they may also dine in their rooms if they prefer.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
We urge residents to bring any complaints to our attention immediately so we can resolve the issue. While we have a formal grievance policy, it has rarely been needed, as we work closely with residents to meet their needs.
Communication with Families
We maintain regular communication with residents' families, adapting to their preferred schedule and methods, including Zoom, Google Meet, and FaceTime for families not local to the area.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We offer respite stays, with a minimum of 10 days preferred to fully understand and build trust with the resident. Rates for these stays are similar to our daily room rates and are posted for your convenience.
Pet-Friendly Community
HillHouse welcomes pets, whether for visits or as permanent residents. Currently, 5 cats and two birds call our community their home.
Vaccination Clinic
We host an annual vaccine clinic in the fall for Covid and flu vaccinations, ensuring our residents' health and safety.
Aging in Place
Our approach to care allows residents to age in place, providing consistent support with ADLs and maintaining familiarity with their surroundings. We strive to avoid moving residents within the building to keep them comfortable and secure.
