Could you provide an overview on the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?
We have a variety of team members. The individuals who are providing care are our caregivers, and many have years of experience and in-house training. In assisted living, caregivers are not required to be CAN’s or GNA’s. We also have certified med techs, LPN’s, and a delegating nurse who is an RN. There is a primary care doctor who also comes to our community (Dr. Kazmi). We have an in-house therapy team as well with PT’s, OT’s, and speech therapy. Our ED has been here for 24 years and is a nurse.
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?
We regularly go through various trainings on many topics from disaster drills, food safety, hand washing, and CPR. We have cameras on the outside of the building and have an auto door lock from the hours 7pm-9am. We give family members the code.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
There is a counseling/mental health professional (Counterpoint) we partner with, but their services would be billed through the individual’s insurance. They have a psychologist to meet with residents if they need a professional to speak with. Otherwise, we have a friendly group of team members and residents that go out of their way to welcome a new resident. Our Activity Director, Melissa, is very involved in welcoming a resident and getting them involved in activities.
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
Yes, and Tuesday and Thursday are reserved for transport to medical appointments locally.
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
Our residents dine in the dining room for all three meals and have a set seat in the dining room which can be switched if they are not enjoying their dining experience. Sample menu in the e-brochure.
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?

What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
Families are given cell numbers and email addresses for all of the managers. Our ED, Anita Evans, is very accessible and you can stop by her office if you have a concern. If we notice something going on with one of our residents then someone in our wellness department/usually our Director of Resident Care, Nadene will reach out to the family.
Do you offer short-term or respite stays?
Yes, minimum 30 days. How much does this cost? Base rate plus 25/30%
Are you a pet-friendly community?
Yes, there is a page in our e-brochure about pets
Do you currently have a waitlist?
For AL we run full but usually monthly we know if there will be something coming available. We don’t have one on our waitlist right now.
Are residents able to get Covid and flu vaccinations in the community?
Yes, we usually offer the opportunity for both in the fall.
Are residents able to age in place?
Yes, we partner with hospice, and we have 4 levels of care so that as the care level increases we can increase the care.
