Overview of Staff and Training
Our facility ensures that a staff member is present 24 hours a day, staying awake to assist residents. Most of our caregiver staff are Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), who have access to an on-call nurse 24/7. We also employ a few home health aides. Our aides undergo over 30 hours of training before starting on the floor, in addition to about 40 hours of hands-on supervised training before they work independently with residents. We have a full-time RN/Director of Health Services, a full-time Activities person, a full-time maintenance team, full-time housekeeping staff, and a full-time housing director.Safety and Well-being Measures
Residents live in their own apartments, equipped with emergency pull cords in the bathroom. Residents in the assisted living program wear a pendant to call for help, with staff promptly responding to any alerts.Support for Transition into the Community
We offer support for new residents transitioning into the community. Fellow resident volunteers help new residents feel welcome and encourage them to participate in activities during the first few weeks. Our staff is also wonderful at welcoming new residents.Transportation Services
Our community offers transportation services with a campus bus for outings and grocery store trips scheduled twice a month. Additionally, we have a van available for trips around town, enabling residents to attend appointments, visit different stores, or go out for lunch. Assistance is provided for arranging transportation at the resident's expense.Dining Experience
We serve three meals a day. Meals are prepared at the care center and served from our kitchen, with lunch served in the dining room and breakfast and supper delivered to apartments. We feature a meal of the day and offer some alternatives. Residents can choose how frequently they want to order meals and are billed only for the ones they select. If interested, a menu can be sent upon request.Complaint and Issue Resolution Process
We aim to address concerns and complaints as they arise. A formal complaint process is available, and, if not resolved, residents can contact the ombudsman for further assistance.Communication with Residents' Families
During the admission process, residents provide permission regarding who we should contact in emergencies. Our nurse monitors residents on the assisted living program. We maintain privacy for our residents, contacting families if issues arise. We strive to build supportive relationships with both residents and their families.Short-term or Respite Stays
We do not offer short-term or respite stays in our facility. However, the care center next door may provide these services. For more information, contact Britni in admissions at 651-480-5926.Pet-friendly Policies
Our community allows dogs under 20 lbs and cats. We also welcome visiting dogs.Vaccinations in the Community
Residents have access to flu and Covid vaccinations within the community. A flu clinic was held earlier this year.Aging In Place Policy
Residents often move in independently and gradually add services as they age in place. However, when a resident exceeds our level of care, relocation may be necessary. The waiting list for assisted living is about a year. For pricing & availability call (866) 204-9238
