Overview of Professionals and Training
On our Assisted Living Side, we have LPN’s, Med. Techs and Caregivers. We also have a full staff of Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Dining. The Directors consist of an Executive Director, Maintenance Director, Life Enrichment Director, Business Office Manager, Director of Therapy, Director of Wellness, Sales & Marketing Director, and a Move-in Coordinator. All of the team is trained the Harmony way, but most of us have a background in Senior Healthcare!
Safety and Well-being Measures
In each apartment we have Pull Cords throughout. There is one in the Living Room, Bedroom and 2 in the bathrooms. They are able to pull those at any time they need help. We also offer pendants they can purchase, and push the button during an emergency. Instead of going directly to EMS, it alerts the Nurses station on the hallway immediately.
Resources for Transitioning Residents
When a new resident moves in, we put a First 48 into effect. All staff is to check in, and introduce themselves when they move in. We like to introduce them to a neighbor who can show them around, someone who may share their interests, etc. Our Executive Director is very involved and will be checking in as well.
Transportation Services
We have scheduled transportation / outings throughout each week. Other than trips, we also have a Van that is for the use of Drs. Office visits, etc. This is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Dining Experience
Our Dining Team is very talented. The Assisted Living Dining Room and Independent Living Dining Room are just around the corner from each other. It is restaurant style dining with 2 options for each day/ meal, plus the A la Carte menu is always an option.
Addressing Resident Complaints
Usually a resident will speak to the Concierge about a concern, and she can direct it to the correct person. However, they do offer Resident Meetings to bring up any concerns, requests, menu ideas, etc.
Cost of Living
Assisted living starts at $3200 for a Studio, and up to $5000 for the largest 1 Bedroom. Each resident pays a Community fee at the time of move-in, which is $3,000.
Communication with Residents' Families
Communication is most important. The Director of Wellness and her team will schedule Care Conferences for your loved one every 6 months or at the time of a decline, whichever is first.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We do not currently have the space for Respite.
Pet-Friendly Community
Yes we are, we have a 1-time $500 pet fee, not monthly charges.
Waitlist Information
We do have a short waitlist on both Studio and 1 Br apartments. If you would like to be on the list, we just require a $1,500 fee, which would go towards the $3,000 community fee. The $1,500 is fully refundable should they change their mind.
