Overview of Staff and Training
Our residents are cared for by RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Social Workers, as well as activity, dietary, and housekeeping staff. All staff participate in annual training on topics such as caring for individuals with dementia, resident’s rights, fire safety, etc.
Measures for Safety and Well-being
Each of our residents has a detailed plan of care specific to their individual needs. We host meetings with residents, families, and designees to ensure that we provide the best resident-centered care possible. Our exterior doors are all secured, and guests are buzzed in through the main entrance. Fire and emergency training for all staff is continually ongoing.
Resources for Transition into the Community
Our staff work as a team to assist all new residents transitioning into the facility. Our social workers assist in the acclimation process.
Transportation Services
We currently offer complimentary transportation to medical appointments for our residents. Activity staff also transport residents for outings as scheduled.
Dining Experience
Residents are served restaurant style in their designated dining room. Meals can be offered in-room if a resident is unwell. A daily menu of choices is offered based on dietary restrictions set by the MD and dietician.
Complaint or Issue Resolution Process
A resident can speak with any staff member, including social services, the Executive Director, Director of Nursing, etc., with a concern. There are concern/comment forms located throughout the facility, and they can also reach out to the designated local Ombudsman.
Family Communication Policy
Care plan meetings with family are offered quarterly, and staff can be reached at any time with questions.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We do not offer Respite stays at this time.
Pet Policy
Pets are welcome to visit with proof of rabies vaccination, but animals do not reside here.
Vaccinations
We offer flu, pneumonia, and COVID vaccinations at the facility.
Aging in Place
Yes! Barring a need that we are not able to manage, such as tracheostomy/ventilator usage, our residents move from one care level to another when their needs change. We are Medicaid certified, so residents that may start as private pay are able to transition to Medicaid coverage. We do currently have a waiting list for each of our care levels.
