Overview of Professionals and Training
Our staff includes department directors, resident aides, certified nursing assistants, and medication technicians. We also have two visiting nurse practitioners and a podiatrist, which are optional for residents who may prefer their current physician. Our nurse practitioners typically see their residents weekly. All staff undergo rigorous training to ensure the highest level of care and support for our residents.
Safety and Well-being Measures
We strictly follow state regulations and guidelines as we are a licensed facility. This ensures the safety and well-being of our residents at all times.
Transition Support Services
To aid residents' transition into our community, our staff and fellow residents assist new members in acclimating to meal times, activities, and housekeeping/laundry schedules. An assessment prior to moving in helps determine the level of daily assistance required.
Transportation Services
While we do not offer medical transportation, we refer families to the Bedford Health Van, which is available for a fee.
Dining Experience
Meals are served from 8 to 9 am for breakfast, noon to 1 pm for lunch, and 5 to 6 pm for dinner, with snacks available daily. We have three dining rooms and offer flexibility in dining times and the option for residents to be served in their apartments.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
Residents can speak directly with the executive director or the department head, or write their concerns and place them in the mailbox outside the director's office door.
Cost of Living
Rates start at $3740 per month, plus additional care costs if needed. Details can be discussed during a tour and assessment.
Communication with Residents' Families
In case of issues, the supervisor or department director, such as a resident care coordinator, will contact the family member listed as the first contact. Families are also welcome to visit or make an appointment with the department director.
Short-term or Respite Stays
All stays require a 30-day notice in writing prior to move out.
Pet Policy
We are a pet-friendly community for pets under 25lbs, with a one-time charge of $1000. Pets must be cared for by the resident.
Waitlist Information
We currently have availability and do not have a waitlist.
Vaccination Policy
Covid vaccinations need to be obtained off-site, while flu shots are generally offered in the fall. Many residents also see their own physician for vaccinations.
Aging in Place
Our goal is for residents to live in their home at Hampton until the end of life if they choose. We allow for hospice care and discuss the options available at the time of need in collaboration with the resident, their family, and the chosen hospice service.
