Overview of Staff and Training

All employees undergo continual monthly training throughout the year specifically tailored to their position and responsibilities along with general all-employee monthly training meetings.

Safety and Well-being Measures

The “Heath & Wellness” director along with the “operation director” and “executive director” conduct weekly meetings, monthly training, and daily stand-up meetings to discuss and address any safety concerns. All the Assisted Living apartments have pull cords in both the bedroom and bathroom to directly contact and request assistance from caregivers/nursing. On-going resident checks are made throughout the day by caregivers.

Transition Resources and Support Services

Yes, the director of nursing and her staff as well as the entire staff of the Life Enrichment team and Marketing team provide resources and support to all our residents throughout the transition and then continuing as residents.

Transportation Services

Yes, transportation is an integral part of our services at Hamlet and includes taking residents to doctor visits, grocery shopping, drug store visits, church services and numerous scenic tours and trips to special performances like the Cleveland Orchestra, Playhouse Square, The Cleveland Art Museum, and many other locations.

Dining Experience

Yes, Hamlet is proud to offer chef inspired cooking featuring daily special menu’s along with an “always available” menu. The dining tables are covered in white tablecloth and meals served by an attentive and compassionate wait staff. Hamlet also provides our residents with monthly specially “themed meals” coupled with entertainment.

Addressing Resident Complaints and Issues

Residents can address any concerns directly with each department head including Nursing/caregivers, front desk staff (for maintenance issues), dining director for meals, transportation director, activities director and the executive director.

Cost of Living

Assisted Living starts at $4,695 per month and Independent Living starts at $1,850 per month.

Communication with Resident's Families

All contact would come from the nursing staff & director in accordance with HIPPA laws. Nursing would apprise you of the frequency of contact on a regular basis along with on-going personalized clinical assessments. In an emergency the designated family members are contacted immediately along with emergency first responders.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We currently have suspended offering short term respite stay based on high demand for more permanent accommodations.

Pet-Friendly Community

Yes, Hamlet is a pet friendly community. Dogs and cats are permitted if the resident can provide the necessary and appropriate care and the animals are not considered a nuisance or annoyance to all other residents and staff. (i.e.- well behaved pets)

Waitlist Information

Yes, we currently have a wait list for apartments in Assisted Living and a wait list or 1-bedroom apartments in Independent Living (some 2-bedroom apartment are immediately available for move in in Independent Living).The wait list in Assisted Living can move quickly at times so an apartment can become available as quickly as 30 days or less in some instances or perhaps longer in Independent Living
