Overview of Staff and Training

Greystone Farm is staffed with 8 Directors and operates with 24/7 Nursing under the direction of our Director of Nursing. We have approximately 80 employees. All staff members are mandated to complete between 4-8 hours of training monthly, depending on their role and responsibilities.

Safety and Well-being Measures

We have various measures in place to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. This includes continuous safety meetings with directors and staff to address any risks, such as falls, broken furniture, and carpet issues. Our nursing staff also collaborates with physical therapists to ensure the safety of residents, focusing on proper equipment and furniture use.

Support Services for Residents' Transition

YES! We ensure a welcoming environment for new residents. All department heads maintain constant communication to discuss nursing, dining, and programming needs. We conduct family meetings prior to move-in to understand the new resident's needs, likes, and dislikes. Residents are escorted to and from the dining and activity rooms to aid in their acclimation to the community and are given tours to familiarize them with meal times, mail services, and community rooms.

Transportation Services

Yes, we offer transportation services within a 12-15 mile radius.

Dining Experience

Our dining services operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering meals made fresh daily. Breakfast is made to order, and we prepare 2-3 soups daily. A bistro luncheon is offered four times a week, with two entrée hot lunches serving as the day's main meal (or options off the menu). Seating arrangements include tables for four, and families are welcome to use our private dining room or country kitchen.

Addressing Complaints and Issues

All directors maintain an "open door policy" for any issues, ensuring immediate resolution by the relevant department head. Our Executive Director, Lisa Collins, is always available!

Communication with Residents' Families

We maintain open communication with families through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and texts. Our Traditional Care Director and Director of Nursing hold family meetings as needed, and our Executive Director is often involved. Greystone Farm also uses a global communication tool called Voice Friend for general announcements to families.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Availability and cost depend on the specific situation and needs. Generally, the cost is approximately the same as long-term stays.

Pet-Friendly Community

Yes, we are a pet-friendly community, provided the resident can care for their animal.

Covid and Flu Vaccinations

Yes, residents can receive Covid and flu vaccinations in the community, administered through our pharmacy.

Aging in Place

Yes, we support an age in place model, offering 24/7 nursing, two-person assist, Hoyer lifts, and an on-site nurse practitioner available two days a week.

Availability

Currently, there is no waitlist. We have openings for (2) 1-bedroom units. We are waiver approved at both communities and have availability.
