Community Details
This detailed information was received through an email from the Sales Director at Greenbriar Village via email on 2024-08-05.
Thank you so much for your questions.
I have done my best to answer them below. Please note these are not 100% everything we do but they are the most direct answers I could provide without overwhelming you with a book of information. If you have any other questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to provide additional information. I would love to invite you in for a tour of our community where you could meet with members of our leadership team, and they would be happy to answer questions for you too.
Could you provide an overview on the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?
We employ nurses which are LPN/RNs. QMA's and CNA's. We provide continued education to all staff through monthly in-services that includes everything from dementia training, infection control, safety for residents and staff, as well as nursing care.
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?
Our residents have pendants they wear and are able to press the button if they are in need of assistance. We also have call buttons placed on the walls in the resident room and bathroom. Our staff is available to assist with toileting and dressing as needed to help avoid falls. We build care plans around the residents' needs and evaluate those quarterly as well as when there are changes in their condition.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
We check on new residents daily to ensure they are transitioning smoothly. My cell phone number is available to residents and families in case there are questions that come up. We encourage new residents to come to meals and meet residents where they will learn many things about the community and be welcomed by their peers.
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
We do not offer transportation for individual resident needs. We do provide transportation for outings and events planned for our residents.
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
We have an open stye dinning where residents are served restaurant style for 1 hour at each meal. Residents are able to come down anytime during the 1 hour window and have several options to choose from. Our menus are created and reviewed by a registered dietician. Our menus are on a rotating schedule and are changed out quarterly. Our Executive Director eats lunch here daily to monitor and provide immediate feedback on taste and presentation to our dietary staff.
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?
We encourage our residents to contact the manager for each department immediately when they have a concern or issue to be addressed. We also have a grievance policy where residents can fill out a grievance form that is then given to our Executive Director for review. She will then coordinate with the appropriate department to ensure all concerns are addressed.
What is the cost of living in your community?
I have attached our rate sheet for you to reference regarding our costs. Please note this does not include the level of care cost which is determined by the assessment our nurse does prior to admission and can be changed depending on care requirements.
What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
We notify/call responsible parties with any change of conditions when they occur. We have quarterly care plans with residents and families to review residents' current status and needs. Families are welcome to call anytime they have questions or concerns.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
We do offer respite care. We typically require a 14-day minimum. Our respite rate is $250 daily which includes room and board as well as all care needs. This rate does not include the cost of medications or incontinence supplies.
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
We are a pet friendly community. We allow cats and dogs up to 25lbs unless there are special circumstances arranged with our Executive Director on a case-by-case basis.
Do you guys currently have a waitlist?
We do not currently have a waitlist.
Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?
Residents are able to get Flu vaccinations in the community but not COVID at this time.
Are residents able to age in place?
We do allow residents to age in place as long as we are able to meet their care needs.
