2 Bedroom $7,072 per month
2nd person $1,300 per month

Staff Qualifications

For assisted living, all of our staff who work on the floor are CNAs as well as Medication Managers. Most facilities do not require a CNA license, but we prefer our staff to have that knowledge.

Training and Security

We have mandatory yearly trainings for the staff to ensure they know how to properly take care of residents in different situations such as fall prevention and how to address emergencies. We also have a locked entrance into the building, and each resident is given a 4-digit code for access.

New Resident Transition

For new residents, we encourage them to come for a meal and meet the other residents ahead of time. We check on them frequently when they first move in and offer help. If there are IT concerns, our IT department can assist with hooking up electronics. We understand that moving can be a big transition and we offer support, although we don't have a specific program for transitions.

Transportation Services

We offer transportation for residents. Rides to doctor appointments within Ames are included with the rent. We have buses that go to different grocery stores weekly. For assisted living, we take grocery orders every Sunday and pick them up every Monday. Rides for non-doctor visits or destinations outside of Ames are available for a fee.

Dining Options

We have wonderful dining options. The assisted living dining room is open daily from 7 AM to 7 PM, offering daily specials and a regular menu. We also have a restaurant called The Grill with different food options and the Bistro, which is a grab-and-go similar to a mini Panera Bread. The Grill and the Assisted Living dining room are included in the rent, but the Bistro is an extra cost.

Complaint Resolution

If a resident has a complaint, the concern can be addressed by me or the staff that work on the floor. We can resolve the issue or direct it to the proper channel. IT or maintenance concerns can be addressed by staff who can put in a request to fix it. We also have a Director of Nursing for additional support.

Family Communication

Communication with the family is up to the resident, unless they have an active POA or are unable to make their own decisions. If the resident requests us to inform family members, we are happy to do so with their permission.

Respite Care

We offer respite in assisted living if an apartment is available. Currently, we are full with a waitlist. Respite care is also available in Health Care at $22 an hour.

Pet Policy

We are a very pet-friendly facility! We have some rules about how many animals residents can have in an apartment. We also have a dog park and a Home Health department that residents can hire for dog walks.

Healthcare Services

We offer the flu shot every year and the COVID vaccine boosters.

Levels of Care

Since we have different levels of care, residents can stay within Green Hills as they require a higher level of care. If they start in Assisted Living and need more care, they would have to move to a room in Health Care. We are not able to offer that level of care in Assisted Living. We also have a Memory Care Unit.

Waitlist Information

We currently have a waitlist. To get on the waitlist, we ask you to fill out an Application of Interest Form and submit a $1,000 deposit. That deposit will go towards the first month's rent upon move-in or is refundable.
